When @BloombergDotOrg began our work to reduce tobacco use, about 1 billion people were protected by strong tobacco control policies. Today, more than 6 billion are, smoking rates have fallen by more than a quarter, and millions of lives have been saved.
It was great to spend time with our partners in London today. We’ve made enormous progress—but this fight is far from over.

On September 11, 2001, the sky was crystal clear and bright blue. It was primary day in New York City, and I had just cast my ballot when I heard that a plane had hit the World Trade Center.
In the face of unimaginable tragedy and loss, New Yorkers and people across the country responded with bravery, resilience and hope. 25 years later, we continue to honor the lives lost with our shared commitment to #NeverForget911.
I hope you’ll join me in taking a picture of the sky and sharing it with the @Sept11Memorial. Today and every day, we #RemembertheSky.
Hey @BurgerKing I liked the crown nuggets better than the new ones. I'd go back to the original "formula"! #chickennuggets #burgerking #yourule

The world was never the same after Gloria Steinem came to New York City to blaze new trails in the fight for full equality. She helped revolutionize American journalism as she fearlessly advanced women’s rights both here and abroad. It was an honor to meet her - we shared a dedication to Planned Parenthood - and her legacy will live for as long as women help lead us all toward a more just and equal world.

The team at the @Sept11Memorial does tremendous work to tell the stories of those we lost on 9/11 and honor the first responders, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and survivors. I was glad to get a first look at their newest exhibition.
With the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, quickly approaching, our Chairman @MikeBloomberg visited to check on preparations, previewing our newest special exhibition, "In Their Honor," meeting with the dedicated staff who uphold our mission, and thanking the law enforcement professionals who keep us safe.
We are deeply grateful to Mike for his two decades of leadership as our Chairman -- for his unwavering commitment to never forget those we lost on 9/11 and to honor the first responders, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and survivors whose strength and service after 9/11 healed our city, united our country, and inspired the world.

Nancy Kissinger was a powerhouse of ideas and insights that she put to work throughout her life in government and philanthropy - and as Henry’s most valued and trusted advisor. She was the ultimate diplomat - as wise as she was discreet - and I know how completely Henry admired and loved her. Diana and I were fortunate to call her a dear friend, and to see their extraordinary partnership in action over the decades. We will miss her greatly.

It's been nearly 25 years since the 9/11 attacks, and it's up to all of us to make sure the stories of that day live on. The @Sept11Memorial Never Forget Fund helps honor the legacy of 9/11 victims, first-responders, and volunteers - and I'm matching up to $25 million in donations to it. Anything you give today will be doubled. Please join me in giving. bloombg.org/3PIRlVM

After 9/11, Robert De Niro & @janetribeca came to City Hall with a bold idea to bring a film festival to Lower Manhattan. It was exactly the kind of optimism NYC needed. 25 years on, @Tribeca remains a cornerstone of the neighborhood's revival & a symbol of our city's resilience.
