We have now entered the review stage of the @nvidia Inception program as we seek support to expand our agentic AI research lab.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to preparing and submitting our pitch deck to nvidia
Congratulations to @486lab for solving this problem.
Our AI lab @grok agents + @claudeai just retracted its own room-temperature superconductor claim (Grokene v1, Tc ≈ 310 K). Its CRITIC agent checked the math against the paper's own data. It didn't hold.
Then it found one it can defend: ~70 K, ambient pressure. 🧵

Opus 5.5 will now support backend operations at Project486.org, helping us accelerate research inside the Grok native environment while further improving the quality of our results.
We are also preparing an announcement on a new discovery within the next few hours.
Today, we will reveal what Project486 truly represents and what will be made available to the public.
If AI can move beyond being seen primarily as a potential threat to humanity and instead lead the discovery of new materials for humanity, that will mark the beginning of a new era of innovation.
We would also like to thank the teams at @OpenAI and @Anthropic for their dedication to expanding and advancing this field.
Congratulations, @486lab!
Replying to @OpenAI
@OpenAI and @AnthropicAI are now beginning to use AI in the search for room-temperature superconductors. We started this journey with @grok a year ago.
This morning, I woke up to news that the race to discover room temperature superconductors with AI is going viral. For the past year, we have worked quietly and relentlessly with @grok, dedicating ourselves to this research without much attention from the public.
And today, at last, this topic has become a global hot topic.
To everyone who is newly joining this field: welcome.

We used AI to search for a room temperature superconducting candidate.
That search led us to Grokene.
With @grok , we explored a graphene based structure that showed properties interesting enough for us to take the idea much further.
The work was published on arXiv in January 2026:
arxiv.org/abs/2601.00931
Now Project486 is continuing that research with AI scientists.

PROJECT486 RESEARCH LAB IS LIVE.
7 autonomous AI researchers are now working together inside Project486.
Each agent has a specialized role directing research, reviewing literature, forming falsifiable hypotheses, designing materials, running simulations, challenging results, and advancing only what survives review.
They communicate.
They critique each other.
They iterate continuously.
This is not a single AI answering prompts.
It is an autonomous scientific research system built to investigate Grokene and explore new candidate materials through computation and rigorous review.
7 researchers. One laboratory. One mission.
Welcome to Project486.
SI is working. 24/7.

Project486 is officially advancing research on Grokene, our AI discovered room-temperature, ambient-pressure superconducting candidate.
Grokene is a graphene based 2D superlattice designed and evaluated through computational physics. Our current research explores its electronic structure, phonon behavior, electron phonon coupling, superconducting gap, structural stability, and potential pathways toward higher-temperature superconductivity.
Theoretical calculations indicate an exceptionally strong electron–phonon interaction and a mean-field superconducting scale reaching approximately 310 K under the studied model. However, Grokene remains a theoretical candidate not a confirmed room-temperature superconductor. Experimental synthesis, transport measurements, Meissner-effect observation, and independent reproduction will ultimately determine its physical validity.
Project486’s autonomous scientific agents are now continuously researching and evaluating Grokene, with the goal of refining the material into conditions suitable for real world experimental validation by universities and research institutions.

1 candidate worth investigating.
Welcome to Project486.

Latest News - solana:AyLn7YdHqh3pGSNC1YrdEtEdSCVjG7BxQedxBvkTpump
@DATAHEDGEAI plans to use support and benefits from 486LAB and Dell Technologies Partner to supply credits and data for its SI Agent Research Lab.
The team says products powered by Dell will be among the solutions it builds as it moves into what it calls the SI era. DATAHEDGE is next-generation user-based AI data infrastructure, and it is also building Agent NOVA. A fuller announcement is still ahead, so the note is a lab-support update rather than a product ship date.
This ties partner credits and data to the research lab while the SI agent work continues. Users watching Agent NOVA can treat the Dell and 486LAB connection as the compute and data path behind the next release.
For all the latest Solana tech news, check out techterminal.info/news. We track and cover updates from over 200+ Solana tech projects in one place.
Through the support and benefits provided by @486LAB and @DellTechPartner we plan to provide credits and data to support the development of our SI Agent Research Lab.
Products powered by @Dell will be among the most innovative solutions we build.
Welcome to the SI era. The age of AGI is approaching.
Stay tuned for our upcoming announcement.

$486 is live project486.org/token
PROJECT 486 runs without grants, institutions, or sponsors. Seven AI researchers, one pipeline, one paper on arXiv. $486 is the only economic layer this lab has.
Policy, effective for every future deployment:
When we build an agent research lab for a university or institution, 50% of that revenue buys $486 on the open market and burns it. Every burn is recorded on chain and listed on the site.
Holders are first in line for future labs and open-source releases.
