Dr Annie Hunningher
@AnnieHunn is a Consultant Anaesthetist with a passion for airway management, patient safety, training and improvement.
Safety isn’t just about getting things right — it’s about building systems that make it easier to get things right, every time.
As Group Safety Lead for @NHSBartsHealth , an IHI Improvement Coach and lead clinical author for the National Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures (NatSSIPs2), she brings a wealth of
experience in turning safety principles into practice.
Her expertise spans improvement science, patient safety and data analysis, and in 2026 she
was awarded the @RCoANews Dudley Buxton Prize.
At #DASWales26, she’ll be challenging us to think differently about safety in her talk, “Enhanced
concepts of safety”.
