Burning out bad in IT. If any of my games industry friends know of someone hiring, hit me up. I was so much happier there.
Just finished Towers of Midnight. Just one book left in The Wheel of Time. Then New Spring, maybe? #WoT
So I just want to put out in the world, for anyone who has not already done this, go get a LIBRARY CARD! For yourself. For your community. For your future. Support your local library, because if you check their calendar, I bet they are trying to support you, even if underfunded.
When people think being the exception makes them qualified to speak as the rule, I lose faith in humanity a little more.
It's like, I am really enjoying my book reading era, but I feel like a World of Warcraft relapse is on the horizon. My Shadow Priest is calling me.
Who wants to trade me a BASE (not the illustrated rare) Dragonite in Pokémon TCGP to complete my Genetic Apex set? Looking in your direction @ShlibOnSwitch.
Today is one year since I left the games industry. It sucks and I miss it. Just figured I'd share that.
Vote. Even if your state's federal lean won't change. Down ballot and local elections/amendments matter. Your vote matters.
I can only click "I don't like this ad" for Betr Holdings so much, X. Why you keep showing me those? I tolerate most ads, so I assume passing on some should be ok. Are you hurting for money that much?
Put a dent in my last October "Shhpookeh Season" TBR last night. Should finish "Two Twisted Crowns" in the next couple days, then it's "The Bridge over the River Kwai", followed by "Tress of the Emerald Sea" (most likely).
Yoooo. One Dark Window was a 5-star. Loved the dark, gothic setting and the magic system. Starting the sequel now!
Current reads: "Pet Sematary" (for spooky season) and "A Crown of Swords" (Book 7 of The Wheel of Time).
I need to clean the return spout of my fish tank....but cold brew and book feels so much better. I finished my 2024 reading challenge, now I am on my spooky season TBR. Finished one, started Pet Sematary yesterday.
Can't talk....still emotionally drained thanks to 11/22/63 by @StephenKing. Finished last night (reading the last 340 pages in a night), and still thinking about it this morning.
