One of the ways that Claremont defines Jean as a 2nd wave feminist superhero is through her simple, consistent reluctance to fall into a domestic relationship against her wishes and to assert, instead, her independence and superheroism. #xmen 1/13

Will this be our legacy? Cranking our hogs while the world burns down around us? Cranking our hogs until all is reduced to ash, including the very hogs we are cranking? Can we not aspire to greater than this, friends, to something greater than the cranking of our smoldering hogs?

Apologies to anyone I spread false hope to. I never should have underestimated the racism, misogyny, and stupidity of this worthless shithole country. I hate this place with every fiber of my being and don’t give a goddamn fuck what happens here anymore.

I am deeply honoured to say that our weird little project won an Eisner Award last night. Thanks, everybody!

Jim Lee stories have been making the rounds. They've all been incredibly wholesome. I don't have one myself, other than to say my discovery and subsequent love for comics coincided with and was undeniably influenced by his arrival on the scene.

And why? Show a 9 year old kid today Jim Lee's X-Men #1, and that comic elicits the same reaction I had at the same age in 1991. Not saying it will turn that kid into a devoted consumer the way it did at the time, but in that moment, you have a captive audience.

I can't think of any other comics artist living or dead who commands that kind of appeal and commercial staying power. TL;DR- For over 35 years, Jim Lee has been the real fucking deal and I've never heard anyone say a single unkind word about him.

I still famously hate wrestling of course, but this was just TNA. At least I think it came up at some point…

This is one of those episodes I’ll never forget. If you want to know any and all things about Elvis’ death, this is the pod for you. Yes you read that correctly. @ShawnECuerto gives us all the details and even get a run in by @Cyke68. We watch a couple of episode of Impact too.😂
