I think people are looking at solana:9sfCHMLWSVy6MD6zr7pR1gD3qbT7C6K1E3dMf2ZBpump the wrong way.
Most meme coins start inside CT.
Someone launches a coin, CT pushes it, influencers talk about it, and then everyone hopes the meme somehow escapes crypto.
LAYOOO is almost the opposite.
The gorilla already exists outside crypto.
The dance, the song, the chest beating… people are posting it on TikTok and Instagram without knowing there’s even a token attached to it.
And now it’s starting to show up around football/NFL content too.
That’s the part I’m watching.
Because imagine this keeps spreading and eventually a player does that chest beat after a touchdown. Millions of people could recognise the meme without ever knowing CT was trading it beforehand.
Then there’s the weirdly perfect crypto connection.
We’ve called ourselves apes for years.
We ape into coins.
We ape into trades.
We literally call traders apes.
And now one of the biggest gorilla memes circulating outside crypto has a coin sitting quietly on Solana.
You couldn’t really manufacture that connection if you tried.
That’s why I don’t think the most important thing about $LAYOOO right now is the chart.
It’s whether the meme keeps moving when the coin isn’t being mentioned.
Every TikTok using the dance.
Every sports account posting the gorilla.
Every creator using the sound.
Every person copying the chest beat.
None of them need to know $LAYOOO exists yet.
That discovery can happen later.
And that’s usually what you want with a cultural meme — the attention exists first, then crypto catches up.
Obviously nothing is guaranteed. If the trend dies, the thesis gets weaker.
But if the gorilla keeps escaping further into mainstream internet culture while $LAYOOO is still sitting at a relatively small valuation…
I think that gap between how big the meme is and how small the coin still is becomes very interesting.
I’m watching the meme more than the candles.
$LAYOOO
Community is the real product.
A meme coin’s supply can be its biggest weakness or one of its greatest strengths.
It depends on who holds it and what they do with it.
When one person controls too much supply, the whole community lives with the consequences of their decisions. Months of effort can be undone by one person selling.
And spreading tokens across multiple wallets doesn’t necessarily mean spreading ownership.
But when supply is distributed across independent holders who believe in the meme and contribute to its growth, I see something stronger taking shape.
The dev might start it. The community gives it a life.
I think of it a little like a shared business. Someone brings the original idea, then others join with their time, skills and belief.
A token isn’t a company share, but that sense of ownership matters.
What if every holder asked themselves:
“If this were my business, what would I do to help it grow today?”
Some can create images, videos, GIFs and stickers.
Some can write a thesis that makes the story easier to understand.
Some are good at sharing those creations and getting them in front of new people.
Others welcome newcomers, answer questions or organise conversations.
Everyone has something different to offer. You don’t need to be a content creator to make a contribution.
When that effort brings in more people who connect with the meme and want to contribute too, the community becomes less dependent on the same few people doing everything.
That’s the kind of growth I want to see in a coin I hold.
But “community controlled” deserves scrutiny too. A small group can still dominate the supply, promotion can become an echo chamber, and enthusiasm can turn into pressure to never sell.
People should be free to question things, take profit and make their own decisions. Healthy communities leave room for that.
Holding and working hard don’t guarantee a higher market cap. But a community that keeps creating, earns attention and gives people a reason to stay has something meaningful to build on.
The goal is to build a community people want to be part of, with holders who care enough to keep showing up.
Because the meme gets people’s attention.
The real product is the community.

You don’t find LAYOOO.
You discover it.
You understand it.
You become part of it.

Buying is easy. Holding is where conviction gets tested.
I’ve seen people find great opportunities early, make a little profit, and move on. Months later, they’re watching the same thing run without them.
And I’ve been there too.
Everyone wants the perfect entry. Everyone wants the next 10x. But very few have the patience to sit through weeks or months of uncertainty.
The market has a funny way of testing your belief before rewarding it.
Red candles, endless sideways movement, people losing interest, timelines moving on to the next shiny thing.
That’s when you find out whether you actually understood what you bought.
For me, conviction isn’t about blindly holding a bag and hoping for a miracle.
It’s about recognising something the market hasn’t fully valued yet, doing the research, and giving that thesis enough time to play out.
Of course, when the fundamentals change, your conviction should change too.
But when the thesis is still intact, I don’t see every red candle as a reason to leave.
Sometimes the hardest part of making money isn’t finding the opportunity.
It’s having the patience to stay with it long enough.
The market rewards being right, not just being early.
I wrote “Before the Hype” around a simple idea:
The biggest opportunities in meme coins usually aren’t found by staring at candles.
They’re found by noticing culture moving before capital catches up.
And the more I watch solana:9sfCHMLWSVy6MD6zr7pR1gD3qbT7C6K1E3dMf2ZBpump, the more I think it fits that thesis.
One of the questions I always ask myself is:
“Would people still share this if there was no token attached?”
With LAYOOO, the answer is becoming pretty obvious.
The original video is approaching 1M views on YouTube.
The gorilla dance is being copied and recreated by actual people across TikTok, Instagram and X.
A NFL-related post using the gorilla pulled 4M+ views.
People are searching for the dance.
People are making their own versions.
The meme has even crossed into Roblox as an emote.
And here’s the part that matters most to me:
Most of these people probably have absolutely no idea that a Solana token called $LAYOOO even exists.
Read that again.
They aren’t sharing a contract address.
They aren’t trying to pump a chart.
They just think the gorilla is funny.
That’s culture.
Crypto usually works the other way around.
A token launches → everyone tries desperately to manufacture a meme around it.
Here, the meme appears to be travelling on its own and crypto is trying to catch up with it.
That’s exactly the type of asymmetry I look for.
The market can price a token at whatever it wants today.
Charts can go sideways.
Attention can disappear from CT for a week.
But if thousands—or eventually millions—of people outside crypto keep hearing the sound, copying the dance and recognising the gorilla…
then something is being built that a candlestick can’t measure.
And this is where my conviction comes from.
Not because somebody told me $LAYOOO is going to 10M.
Not because an influencer posted it.
Not because of one green candle.
But because I’m watching the same pattern I’ve written about before:
recognition → imitation → participation → culture → attention → liquidity.
We may still be early.
We may also be wrong.
That’s the risk we take in this market.
But I’d rather position myself around something people are already choosing to spread than wait until everyone on my timeline agrees that it’s obvious.
The crowd normally arrives after the pattern becomes undeniable.
I’m interested in what happens before the hype.

This is exactly how I see $LAYOOO right now.
People expect bottoms to be obvious, but real accumulation happens when nobody wants to touch the chart.
The meme is spreading, the community keeps building, and attention hasn’t disappeared.
Sometimes price loses momentum long before the narrative does. That’s where I see the opportunity.

Markets have a strange way of making people believe that something has no potential simply because the price isn’t moving.
A coin can sit unnoticed for weeks, even months. The chart looks boring, volume dries up, and people slowly lose interest.
Then something changes.
The right people discover it. A meme starts spreading. More eyes turn towards it. And suddenly, the same opportunity that nobody wanted becomes the one everyone is chasing.
What took months to build can get repriced in days.
That’s what makes this market so fascinating.
The hardest part isn’t finding something that’s already pumping. Anyone can spot a green candle.
The real challenge is recognising potential when there’s no excitement, no constant validation, and very few people paying attention.
That’s where I find $LAYOOO interesting.
The gorilla dance has something that money alone can’t manufacture: a meme people can recognise, imitate, and share without even knowing there’s a token behind it.
Whether that attention eventually translates into sustained demand remains to be seen. But that’s exactly the kind of early signal I look for.
I’m not waiting for the whole timeline to agree with me before forming a conviction.
Because by the time an opportunity becomes obvious to everyone, the market may have already priced in the discovery.
Sometimes the biggest edge is simply recognising something worth paying attention to before everyone else does.
$LAYOOO 🦍
Most chase 1000x. I chase reasons to believe.
I bought $LAYOOO because I saw a meme people enjoy beyond crypto—and a community building around it. @LayoooSol 🦍
The upside caught my attention. The thesis made me stay.
Here’s my thinking.

One day, you’ll look back at all the uncertainty, the setbacks, the sleepless nights, and the moments you almost gave up.
And you’ll realise those were the days that shaped you.
The goal was never just to make money. It was to build a life you once only dreamed about.
Keep going. Your story isn’t finished yet.
