"Do you know the only thing that gives me pleasure? It's to see my dividends coming in, just to see my dividends coming in!" -John D Rockefeller Cosmopolitan published that quote in late 1908, and I like to think that he said it during the 1907 panic. I feel it more in downturns

Ugly day for $NEOG CEO Fired, missed and lowered guidance They're going slow with Petrifilm in-sourcing, which will hurt GM% next 1-2 years But... selling two businesses, and if I'm reading the transcript correctly they'll get $100m for them In 2 years: co will look very good

Times like this--when 'my' ugly ducklings drop hard--are no fun Everything I buy keeps falling, and I feel dumb for being impatient. Then one day they stop dropping, and I feel dumb for not buying more Buying cheap stocks works well... but it comes with a lot of negative feedback

The acquisition of Medalogix may be a small benefit to $EHAB, which had a $1.6m investment in Medalogix after it was acquired in 2021
Exclusive: Medalogix and Forcura are merging to create a nearly $1 billion software business by supplying applications for in-home healthcare and hospice services providers on.wsj.com/43T49xc

$EHAB got $21m for its investment in Medalogix. One of those happy surprises, and only *cough* 5x what I had penciled in😳 sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/…

I'm reading through yesterday's $VFC presentation and it was all fine until Sun Choe started riffing about Vans All of a sudden I NEED to see this performed at a poetry slam. This. Is. Amazing.

Amazon without Prime is an awful experience. They slow walk your orders and constantly try to trick you into signing up for Prime (and when you do there are ads on videos) We tried cancelling in a good-natured test to see if it'd cut our spending (it did), and now we hate them

I can't believe it, tomorrow Havas will report after the close - European time. Presentation at noon NYC time. For every other European company I have to wake up in the middle of the night - and it's rarely worth it.

I am intrigued by $MRP... But when I read the Millrose docs I get this feeling like Lennar's giving me the finger and saying "checkmate, sucker"

Last year I was a bit late in booking my tickets to the Berkshire meeting. The drive from Des Moines was quite pretty, but I don't need to repeat it this year... FYI: May 3, 2025

Read some more and *think* I have a better understanding of the $ATIP tender It's actually a bounty in a hail-Mary effort to get Advent over 90% If enough shares are tendered, Advent will own 90%+ and can do a short-form merger to recapitalize: prefs and 2nd lien debt => equity

The risk here is not proration--they'll take all your shares--the risk is meeting the minimum number of shares to get Advent over 90%. Hit that and the co will amend/waive everything The tender will be extended, and the price/share probably raised ($6m could do up to ~$3.50?)

All in: there is a payout for someone who's willing to do the work to buy and buy and amass the 1m+ shares needed to push this through by the end of Feb... but they've got to shoot the moon

This $ATIP tender offer is a trip 'We're doing a recap, everybody out... seriously, there's the door - Get. Out.'

$EHAB and $EHC won their lawsuit against VitalCaring's PE sponsors. Judgment is that $EHAB & $EHC get their legal & retention fees back, plus 43% of the PE firms' gains on VitalCaring We'll see what that 43% is worth... eventually law.justia.com/cases/delawar…

I am always early on these things, but I do love a good implosion. Talking about you, $TNET
