Happy #MalthouseMonday y'all! This one goes out to @TexMalt.
The #Texas market has experienced radical growth in both brewing and distilling over the past 10 years and this malthouse is here for it. Find them at texmalt.com/.
Spent the weekend researching Grape Ales/Italian Grape Ales.... and not finding a ton of information. Seems like the style is still evolving and somewhat arbitrary at this point. Even in the GBH podcast, the director of a commercial brewery competition in Italy admits as much.
want anyone outside of Italy calling it simply 'Grape Ale' relegating 'Italian Grape Ale' to a local only role. The Italians are campaigning (and have a petition up) to have it all be IGA, in much the same way we have Belgian Golden Strong, Irish Stout, American Pale Ale, etc.
Very happy with how this Peach Table Beer turned our. Inspired by Jester King's La Petit Prince, but includes Rye and American Hops to go with the Texas Peaches from last summer. Bright, fruity and less than 3% abv, it's a great session beer for spring.

Sour2th Panther w/ foraged pears. 6.6% abv, ~3.2 IBUs.
Wet stone, moss, yeast, pear & cut straw aromas. Has some ginger and vanilla behind.
Starts with a bold acidity followed by ginger & lemon custard flavors. Middle gives moss, lime juice and moderate funk.
Brisk finish has herbal & pear flavors w/ an apple cider undertone. Some acetic acid, but not too high.
Good layers of fruit & spice though may be a little too acid-forward for my tastes. We’ll see how this one ages.

I hate @Windows 11 and their forced updates that take foooooorever.... could you please just edit the code correctly before releasing programs?
Hoping that my not terribly green thumb hasn't just brought this little rem home to slowly torture it... 🤞
First Gueuze inspired beer blend. Took lots from 2020-2023 and blended before bottling most of it, using Huajillo Honey to prime. Rest of the blend had some additional beer and nectarines added, and will age a little longer.
Hey @PR_NHL why does Makar get suspended for a hit from behind that doesn't result in injury to the other player, but Cogliano sustains a fractured neck from a bad boarding hit and Eberle is still playing? Or do suspensions only happen when the player who falls down takes a dive?
Well, @PR_NHL ? No comment? Or does it matter if the home crowd heckles the refs enough to overturn a call (or no call,as it were) on the ice? There's a reason even peewee players know not to hit the numbers from behind. Remember the stop signs?
Holy moly! Wasn't really expecting to advance to NHC finals. This is my first time entering, so nervously excited about the next round. Oscillating between "it's not going to happen" and hope. Just my beer and 26 other amazing beers left...
Congrats to everyone moving on!
