FAITH. FELLOWSHIP. SERVICE. Yesterday, the Curley community came together for our annual schoolwide retreat in celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Students, faculty and staff began the day together at Mass before taking part in Adoration, Reconciliation, service projects, activities and time spent simply enjoying the brotherhood and community that make Curley special. The day concluded with a spirited Upperclassmen vs. Underclassmen soccer match in the Bowl. It was a day centered on faith, service, fellowship and the Franciscan values that remain at the heart of the Curley experience.

Today, the Archbishop Curley community gathered in prayer and remembrance to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Students, faculty and staff came together for a special 9/11 tribute, reflecting on the tremendous sacrifice, courage and selflessness shown on that day and in the days that followed. Together, we remembered the victims, their families, our first responders and all those whose lives were forever changed. As a community of faith, we pray for peace and recommit ourselves to lives of compassion, service and love for one another. 🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Pray. Never Forget.

More Than the Classroom. It Is the Curley Experience. Today’s Club Fair gave our students the opportunity to discover the many ways to get involved, explore new interests and connect with others across campus. At Curley, we call them co curricular activities because these experiences are an extension of what students learn in the classroom. Through more than 25 clubs and activities, along with Athletics and the Arts, students develop leadership skills, build confidence, form lasting friendships and discover new interests. We encourage every Curley student to find a way to get involved. Because some of the most important lessons, experiences and relationships happen beyond the classroom. Get involved. Find your place. Make the most of the Curley Experience.

Archbishop Curley Names Randy Noppinger ’14 Director of Blackfriars' Theatre Archbishop Curley High School is pleased to announce Randy Noppinger ’14 as the new Director of Blackfriars Theatre, marking an exciting new chapter for one of Curley’s long standing Fine Arts programs. A 2014 graduate of Archbishop Curley, Noppinger returned to his alma mater in 2018 and currently serves as Director of Instructional Technology. His experience as an educator and coach, combined with his understanding of the Curley community, will bring renewed energy and a fresh approach to Blackfriars' Theatre. Noppinger’s vision centers on making theatre an engaging and accessible part of the Curley experience while encouraging more students to discover the opportunities the program offers. Beyond acting and performance, students can become involved in technical theatre, stage management, set design and production. The goal is to build a program that develops creativity, confidence, leadership and collaboration while creating a strong sense of community among its students. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead Curley’s theatre program and to help build something that students can truly call their own,” Noppinger said. “I know firsthand what this school can mean to a young man, and I believe theatre can become another place where our students find their voice, discover their confidence and learn to take a chance on themselves.” “We are not just putting on shows. We are building a community, creating opportunities and giving students a place where they can be seen, heard and challenged to become more than they thought they could be.” With new leadership and a renewed emphasis on student involvement, Blackfriars' Theatre is ready to begin its next act.

This summer, Mr. Joseph, president, joined scouts from Troop 124 for a 12-day backpacking trek at Philmont Scout Ranch. The trek covered 60 miles over rugged, backcountry terrain. The group of 31 youth and adults were divided among three crews with varied itineraries. All three crews reached the highest peak, Baldy Mountain, on the same day. The summit is 12,441 feet above sea level.Curley was well represented on the trek, and the Friars gathered for a photo on top of Baldy. Pictured here are Sam '28, Luke '28, Jack '26, Mr. Joseph '96, Steve Crowley '98, Carson '28, Josh '30, Luke '28, and Mark '28.

Our newest Curley Men began their journey together at the 2026 Freshman Retreat! Throughout the day, the Class of 2030 learned about St. Francis of Assisi, what it means to live the Curley Way, and the brotherhood they are now a part of. They had plenty of fun, met their upperclassmen mentors, made new friends, and heard powerful testimonials from upperclassmen, alumni, faculty, and staff about what Curley has meant in their lives. The day concluded with our freshmen, alongside their parents and upperclassmen mentors, taking the Curley Pledge—committing themselves to becoming Men of Faith, Character, Discipline, and Service.
