Is this the new LARP? American politicians flying to the West Bank to cosplay as defenders of Palestinians while supporting the very institutions that make settler violence possible in the first place?
Brad Lander, we didn’t need you to fly to Palestine and get into a scuffle with settlers to prove you’re an ally. We needed you to stop investing our money in Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, while it profited from the genocide of our people. We needed you to stop proudly identifying as a Zionist while condemning Palestinian resistance.
Palestinians don’t need your performative solidarity. We need you to stop supporting our oppressors.
And those who stand with Palestine cannot allow these gestures to buy our trust, erase politicians’ records, or earn them our votes. A photo op in the West Bank does not absolve anyone of their complicity.
Our standards for solidarity with Palestinian liberation cannot be lowered just because politicians have learned how to perform it.
I'm in the West Bank this week as part of the “Protect the Harvest” coalition along with @israelispeaceny, @ucpinpalestine & Protect the Harvest, which is bringing people together from around the world to help Palestinian farmers harvest olives in the face of state-sanctioned settler terrorism.
Our goals for the trip are to help protect the olive harvest — and to shed a light on the reality of the occupation. To ensure that international solidarity goes beyond the harvest, to become a sustained commitment to protecting Palestinian communities from settler violence, forced displacement, and the ongoing threats to their right to remain on their land.
And, speedily and in our day, to secure human rights, safety, equality & freedom for both Palestinians and Israelis.
Thankfully, our corner of today's harvest was peaceful and successful. But violence unfortunately is never far away.
We’ll keep you posted on our efforts this week, especially the stories we hear from Palestinians on the ground. Protect the Harvest.

My name is Ahmed, and I'm a software engineering student from Gaza. 💔🇵🇸
I never wanted to share my family's story this way. But when your world shrinks to a tent, and survival becomes your only goal, you start hoping someone, somewhere, will hear you.
We went from living in our humble home to trying to survive inside a makeshift tent surrounded by mud. We huddle together against the bitter winter cold, living with fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty day after day.
Words can't fully describe what we've lost or the extent of the injustice we continue to endure.
If my words reach you, following or sharing this post could help amplify my voice. Every gesture of support, no matter how small, means so much.

🚨 BREAKING: Half a million Palestinians in Gaza will lose monthly food assistance as funding shortages force major World Food Programme cuts ahead of winter, ABC News Australia reports.
➤ WFP is reducing its monthly reach from 1.6 million people to 1.1 million. Families receiving two food parcels will now get one, and flour bags will shrink.
➤ Daily hot meals have fallen from 250,000 to 150,000. Some families in hard-to-reach areas will receive meals every other day instead of daily. Cash assistance for 75,000 families is being cut by 40%.
➤ WFP’s Carl Skau said traditional donors, including the U.S. and Europe, have reduced funding. “It’s not because the needs are down … it’s only due to the lack of funding,” Skau told ABC.
➤ Around 1.4 million people face crisis-level hunger or worse, including 200,000 in emergency conditions. WFP says it urgently needs $450 million for six months of operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

At Remal Al-Aqsa Camp in Khan Younis, The Sameer Project completed its 6th medical follow-up visit on October 6, providing 49 patients with free medications, examinations, and monitoring for diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other chronic conditions.
We don’t visit once and disappear. Our mobile medical teams return every 2–4 weeks to ensure patients receive continued care and the medications they depend on to survive.

How can I protect my daughter from infection when seven of us are living in a single, cramped tent in Gaza? 💔
My little daughter Rahaf is suffering from a painful bacterial infection that has spread rapidly across several parts of her tiny body. After carrying out the necessary tests today, the doctor advised us to isolate her from her four siblings as much as possible, provide her with her own bed and bedding, and change all her clothes.
But how can I follow these recommendations when we can barely afford our basic food?
For three years, we have been living in a crowded displacement tent, where maintaining hygiene and providing clean bedding and the separate space my daughter needs to recover have become incredibly difficult.
I am terrified that the infection could worsen, develop into deeper infections, or spread into her bloodstream. All I want is to provide Rahaf with the essentials she needs and help her recover in a safer environment.
I desperately need $400 to provide the supplies her doctor recommended, but I honestly don't know how I will raise this amount when I am already struggling to afford my children's most basic needs.
Please, don't leave Rahaf to face this illness without the care she needs. Please consider making a donation today, no matter how small, so I can care for my little girl in these unbearable conditions in Gaza. 🙏🏻

The harsh environmental conditions we endure inside our displacement tents in Gaza have caused my daughter Rahaf to develop painful bacterial infections in multiple parts of her small body.
I am a mother of five, and for days I have been living in fear that Rahaf's condition will worsen and that her suffering will turn into a new ordeal for her four siblings if the infection spreads to them in our cramped tent. What frightens me most is that the redness and swelling are spreading rapidly throughout her body.
I am now afraid that the infection will develop into serious complications, such as entering her bloodstream or causing tissue damage in the affected areas if treatment is delayed any longer.
We urgently need $300 to provide the treatment and urgent medical care that my daughter needs.
