A dive into the horrors a whole Ukrainian village lived through at the start of this war. 368 people imprisoned for 28 days in a cramped basement with no light, no toilet, little food or water and the bodies of those who died left for days. All the while bombs were falling.
“They didn’t want us to feel like humans”
@AlexCrawfordSky has been hearing the harrowing stories from the villagers of Yahidne – a community at the centre of Ukraine’s biggest war crimes trial to date.
368 villagers, 69 of them children, were starved, terrified and tortured

Women at War: Afghanistan is now available on @SkyTV. It's an outstanding piece of eye-witness reporting by @AlexCrawfordSky, lifting the lid on an underground world where arrest, imprisonment and torture are a daily threat to these resilient and courageous women.
Earlier this year we returned to Afghanistan to film a documentary about life under the Taliban, and what it means to be a woman living in this repressive theocracy. It comes out today on Sky Documentaries, give it a watch! With @AlexCrawfordSky @TSculthorp Jake Britton and Fazel
Please watch this - outstanding work as ever by the sensational @AlexCrawfordSky @CunninghamCSky #JakeBritton @AndreRosso75 @oliviamcghie

First day back in Ukraine after a few months away and the horrors of this war took no breaks
This time it’s a civilian convoy blown to smithereens. On the day Russia ‘annexed’ this part of #Ukraine, it also sent missiles raining down on what it now claims are ‘its people’… 1/3
30 dead so far, over 80 wounded; women, children, doctors. They formed a convoy bringing aid to the Russian occupied territory just a few miles down the road from #Zaporizhzhia
The Russians have denied it was them…2/3
…while the Ukrainians once again gather evidence to hopefully, one day, bring to justice those responsible for yet another war crime. Just one more infamy in an ever extending list.
Our report for @SkyNews with @AlexCrawfordSky
