Shocked….

BREAKING NEWS: Marathon world record holder Ruth Chepngetich has been provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after testing positive for Hydrochlorothiazide in a test on March 14th.
Hydrochlorothiazide, can be used to mask the presence of banned drugs. The AIU notes she had an estimated concentration of 3800 ng/mL in urine.
The positive test was reported to the AIU on April 3rd. She was notified and interviewed in person by the AIU in Kenya on April 16th. Chepngetich withdrew from this year's London Marathon on April 18th and stated she not in the right condition, both mentally and physically, to compete.
AIU head Brett Clothier (via press release): “When there is a positive test for diuretics and masking agents, a provisional suspension is not mandatory under the World Anti-Doping Code. Chepng'etich was not provisionally suspended by the AIU at the time of notification, however, on 19 April, she opted for a voluntary provisional suspension while the AIU’s investigation was ongoing. In the intervening months, the AIU continued its investigation and today issued a Notice of Charge and imposed its own provisional suspension."
Chepngetich has the right to have the case heard before a Disciplinary Tribunal.
Last year, Chepngetich shattered the women's marathon world record in 2:09:56 at the Chicago Marathon.
Watch the highlights….
Incredible win - surely the one most dramatic in the history of Australian golf.
Fantastic.
All those who abused
me and others for questioning the tyrannical and nonsensical Covid restrictions and lockdowns that weren’t based on ‘science’ or ‘health advice’ at all, feel free to drop your apology in the comments below.
Darts should be in the Olympics.
It would be nuts in Brisbane 2032.

Many looked the other way and some did all they could to cover it up. They should all hang their heads in shame.
Hopefully a full review removes all those still working in sport and certainly those still working in athletics.
Absolutely disgusting.
Athletics Australia acknowledges the highly concerning reports about the conduct of Alex Parnov during his time as a pole vault coach at the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) between 1998 and 2019, as well as the subsequent WAIS responses to complaints that were made.

Gout Gout… lets it all out.
What a run this is.
Hard to have the lid on when you do this at 16.
Top end speed and capacity to hold it to the line is rare. Bolt like.
Why would you get into the ring with Mike Tyson?
That guy is mean.
No matter how much $$$

Punishing aspiration when living….
And now when you die they punish your family.
Cooked.
I see the cost of dying is set to rise in Victoria . The tax on releasing wills is going up. The fee on a $3 million estate is set to go from $2,300 to $7,200. #victoria
I’m shocked.
A large-scale report into Australia’s response to the Covid pandemic found trust has been “eroded” due to “heavy-handed” measures taken in the pandemic > bit.ly/4hhHC1z
Promising news. After doing their best to destroy business and punish aspiration, admitting you were wrong and have made a mistake is always a good place to start.

‘Victoria’ Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Great news for our athletes with the 2026 Commonwealth Games to be staged in Scotland.
Paid for by Victorians in what will be a big boost to the Victorian economy.
Our reputation continues to be enhanced with this new strategy of paying others to host events at our cost.
