i think i finally understand what @FomiesNFT is doing and honestly this might be one of the funniest ways i've seen an nft project handle a whitelist they didn't build a website they built a fucking government department the Department of FOMO you don't just “join a whitelist” you enter the department ring the bell meet the clerk submit your case wait for someone behind a desk to decide your fate and the funniest part is how seriously they commit to the bit the website has an actual intake officer window three 555-FOMO ext. 3 basement level, corridor b “the building, no fixed address” office hours? mon–fri, when open sat–sun, allegedly bro 😭 and then you realize the entire project is basically a giant joke about how crypto people behave we spend half our lives refreshing pages looking for hidden roles checking wallets grinding tasks trying to get early watching everyone else get in before us that's literally FOMO so instead of pretending they're above it, fomies turned the entire process into the lore and it gets even more stupid they've been dropping updates like a real department applications paused clerk showed up late clerk was shopping applications are open again 23,000+ applications one printer fighting for its life “please form an orderly panic” 😭 then they dropped a message in MORSE CODE not even kidding you actually had to decode it to find out that the Department had opened an official broadcast channel who the fuck runs an NFT project like this most projects: “hey guys mint soon join discord follow our twitter” fomies: “... --- ... the clerk has authorized another transmission” and somehow it works because you're not just following another nft collection anymore you're following a world every post adds another stupid little piece to it the clerk the applications the notices the department the weird bureaucracy the hidden messages and suddenly you actually want to see what happens next that's the part i'm enjoying most not some forced “utility” powerpoint not another team promising the moon just a project with enough personality to make you curious enough to keep checking back i came for the art now i'm apparently waiting for a government employee who doesn't have a fixed address to approve my case crypto is fucking beautiful sometimes anyway my application is in please direct all complaints to window three fomies.family/?ref=0103e8ef9… @FomiesNFT
