The Cubs just won 22-4, scoring 5 more runs/points than the Chicago Bears averaged in 2016 (17.4).
Sitting on a diehard fan’s $1,000 for 10+ years just to screw them when you finally make it to the World Series is bad, bad business. Corporate greed is sick
If a 6-0 team in your league is so deep and good that he is opting to play with one less player so that he doesn’t have to drop anyone, just chalk up your season. It’s over.
I hate to publicly conceptualize this - but as Cubs fans, we have peaked.
No season will compare to 2016. The iconic players and gravity of the situation will never be topped.
Still relevant today. Legend

on sundays at Wrigley Field they let kids under 12 run the bases. at the ripe age of 20 (with an extreme case of baby face), i decided to try and see if they would let me out there to run the bases. i successfully ran the bases with a bunch of toddlers and i have no regrets
In 2015, I was 20 and took a trip to training camp to meet @EliManning. Days before I left, they changed the m&g to be for only 150 kids, 12 & under. I got there, LIED that I was 12 and in 5th grade, and STOLE my rightful spot from a child. They’ll have another shot, you may not.
I’m buying 10 lucky winners a red bill Cubs hat from the Cubs Team Store tomorrow.

John Smoltz just went on a rant that Paul Skenes needs to start throwing more innings.
I, unaware that IP was an issue for Skenes, looked up his stats.
Here are the National League IP leaders in 2025.
