Cubs have spent $191M into team operations so far with $244M being the Luxury cap. The Cubs will likely leave a little room for money midseason in case they want to acquire some players so they might really only be spending $40M at most this offseason after the Imanaga deal

Either 1 giant Kyle Tucker contract and they call it quits or more likely 1 good starting pitcher ($20M), 1 decent backup 3B/utility guy ($6-7M), and the final ($12-13M) on the rest of the bullpen Cubs I assume will think they can compete just like they did last year
