Progress! My eval reports now link directly to investigator traces, individual tool-call spans, and grader spans. You can click on a failed tool call's span ID, and inspect the command/error in context. Also according to my evals, Luna 6 is a weird little chaos gremlin.

🧠: Okay, so we are working on something really cool right now and want to present it to our peers in a technically proficient and approachab... 👄: GET IN BITCHES WE'RE DOING EVALS! Work in progress obviously, but stay tuned!

WIP: new Lulu. Really channeling my inner Jester Lavorre on this piece! I love how it’s coming up so far, but the Rückenfigur needs a touch more plausible deniability.

You can see your correlated logs in the trace waterfall now and also they cluster instead of overlapping which is nice

I’m in this photo and I don’t like it
I'm very sensitive to this feeling, cause I've been there. Someone does something cool, gets a lot of attention, and you're frustrated cause you already did it, a while ago. It's not enough to do things, you must also tell people. Maybe it's not fair, but it's true

You know, I get insecure about my UI sometimes but F1 TV is just out there crashing when you open the drawer so…

Here's how I use @duckdb to build my trace waterfalls: ctrlspice.codes/building-tra… Relevant because DuckDB v2.0 is right around the corner, promising faster recursive CTEs and I am stupidly excited about it.

the big box of math ironically got good at math
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

Okay, first: we’re talking at least a SEV-2 literary incident (major neural degradation, user-visible). Second: it’s for a good cause. The traces need to be interesting.

I'm procrastinating on writing by pruning inefficient database indexes right now, which is totally normal behaviour. I mean I should probably cut that shit out, but it *is* normal.

Hey folks! I'm Mila and I make otel-desktop-viewer: a tool that lets you visualize and search through your OpenTelemetry data locally. The project just passed 1k stars on GitHub, so I figured I'd (re-)introduce it: ctrlspice.codes/rebuilding-o…
