At #CEATEC 2026 in Chiba, Japan, DSR Corporation showcased its Matter Controller and X-to-Matter Bridge as part of the Connectivity Standards Alliance Japan Interest Group (JIG) exhibit. 🇯🇵 @csaiot
Hiroshi Kamada, GM of DSR Asia; Vladimir Stepanchenko, IoT Business Unit Manager; and Naoyuki Inoue, Senior Advisor, demonstrated how these solutions help devices using different protocols work together.
Konnichiwa. Arigatou gozaimasu. Just like people, IoT devices don't always speak the same language! In Japan, where ECHONET Lite is widely used, connecting existing devices to Matter ecosystems means bridging that language gap.

Zigbee Direct extends how devices interact with Zigbee networks through Zigbee Virtual Devices and Zigbee Direct Devices.
◆ A Zigbee Virtual Device (ZVD) enables Bluetooth Low Energy devices like smartphones to interact natively with a Zigbee mesh through software implementation of the Zigbee stack, eliminating the need for a physical gateway.
◆ A Zigbee Direct Device (ZDD) acts as a secure bridge between Bluetooth LE and Zigbee networks, enabling onboarding, commissioning, and device control through secure communication.
Together, ZVDs and ZDDs simplify deployment while expanding flexibility across the Zigbee ecosystem.
