Today, I’m proud to announce Sardine AI Labs, an applied research group building fraud and financial crime AI models. As part of the launch, we’re funding 5 independent researchers with $375,000 in total funding. I’ve wanted to build this for a long time. Let me give you an early example of the work we’re doing: Typically, new card programs lack the data to detect fraud reliably, and they're often among the first targets for fraud rings. In testing on card issuers held out of training entirely, the very first foundation model from Sardine AI Labs improved fraud detection accuracy by 68% for a consumer card issuer and 41% for a business card issuer compared with standard machine learning approaches. Our consortium recently crossed 6.5B devices profiled and $1.8T in payments. This data, combined with our fantastic team of AI researchers and engineers, makes this lab and these early results possible. In addition, the Sardine AI Fellowship Program is an initiative I wanted to launch alongside Sardine AI Labs. When I was writing my PhD dissertation in the early 2000s, the preeminent research labs like Bell Labs, HP Labs, AT&T research did a lot to move research on various internet technologies forward. Over time, the concept of research labs withered away. This is our attempt to give back to the research community. We're funding up to 5 research fellowships, with $375,000 in total, for researchers who want to help push this work further. Key details: - Advanced-degree students, researchers, and faculty at US or Canadian universities. - Fellows work with the Sardine AI Labs team to build new foundation models, and are encouraged to publish in peer-reviewed venues. - Research areas include cross-institution generalization, multi-stream modeling, scaling laws, identity matching, real-time inference, cold-start learning, and applications beyond fraud. Here’s more about Sardine AI Labs and how to apply to the fellowship: sardine.ai/ai-labs I am absolutely thrilled to launch both of these initiatives. Thank you to the entire @sardine team who has brought this vision to life.

Before @santinestea started @dualentry, he built his previous company to $100M in revenue across 20 countries. Now, he's trying to solve the very problem that held his business hostage. Santiago had prior issues reporting numbers during a nine-month Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) legacy migration. He knew there could be a better, easier way to migrate, so he started building DualEntry. This week, Santiago joined Lightwork to recap the moment next-gen ERPs became technically buildable, their fundraising story, and the latest results from DualEntry's "Project Helios". Congratulations to @iamtimdavis, @clattner_llvm, and the entire @Modular team on this next chapter with @Qualcomm. The team built with a clear conviction from day one: AI needs a more open and efficient software foundation. We're proud to have supported them from the beginning.

Thrilled for @dualentry to emerge from stealth with a $90M Series A! ERP is one of the biggest software categories out there, and we've long searched for a team with the ambition, speed and clarity of vision required to win in this space. Thanks for having us on this journey!
Replying to @dualentry
@dualentry has raised a $90M Series A from @lightspeedvp, @khoslaventures and @GVteam, bringing our total funding to $100M to date. 18 months ago, we decided to build the ERP that makes sense for today. AI already changed Sales, Engineering, and Legal. With DualEntry, CFOs finally have the modern ERP they deserve. In the last 18 months we’ve: - shipped 350+ features - processed $100B+ worth of journal entries with AI - saved businesses 1000s of hours on implementation - onboarded 1000s of users across all continents - built the world’s most powerful migration engine for a 24-hour ERP implementation Our customers range from high-growth startups to NYSE-listed companies. They close the same day, report in real time, and achieve more with leaner teams. Since switching to DualEntry, one of our customers can run $140M ARR with just 1 controller. Excited to keep building the ERP for the AI age 🚀 Retweet + comment “free migration” and I’ll send over all you need to go live in 24 hours with NextDay Migration.

🚀 Introducing Gram by Speakeasy 🚀 APIs were designed for humans, not LLMs. API Teams today are stuck hand rolling MCP servers, writing glue code, struggling with tool reliability. Meanwhile the demand from their users is growing. Building agentic workflows is a priority for every business. That’s why we built Gram. Gram turns your APIs into secure, composable, production-ready AI tools—instantly accessible to agents. Create, Curate and Host tools to power the next generation of API integrations. What can Gram do for you 👇

Congrats @typefaceai!
Today, we are honored that @TIME has recognized @typefaceai Arc as a Best Invention in 2024. It’s an incredible testament of our mission and impact the amazing @typefaceai team is driving for customers across the globe. When we founded Typeface, the invention of the printing press and its impact on storytelling & creativity, was our inspiration. It was an early example of personalization, democratizing the way people communicated and shared ideas. We believed the coming AI wave had the power to again transform how people and brands tell their stories. We launched @typefaceai to reimagine the entire content lifecycle. Powered by Typeface Hub, our intelligent multi-modal content hub, we soon expanded this vision to introduce our AI-first campaign workflow, Typeface Arc. AI's true potential is going beyond prompts and building one piece of content at a time, to complete campaign storytelling tailored to specific audiences. Only then can we truly unlock the potential to create amazing multi-channel marketing campaigns and customer journeys for brands around the world. Looking ahead, our hope is to enable new storytelling superpowers for marketers. AI will empower everyone to tap into the imaginative space to be more creative, build the next wave of iconic campaigns and deliver on a massive global scale – all at the speed of thought.
