Just when I think I’m smart, I read posts like this and realize just how dumb I really am.
why don't we make computers store memory as photons in the optical fiber that they use to transfer information between eachother, rather than in volatile or non volatile memory?

Many of the worlds best defense lawyers aren’t worried about defending their clients, truth or justice, they’re worried about their careers and being right. Take for example the trial of Lindsey Clancy

Ai writing has made me loathe certain phrases and styles of writing that in the past would have been otherwise normal.

If companies like Anthropic truly keep pirating info by settling for a few billion at a time, then we have entered an age where laws don’t matter and companies will focus on growth by any means necessary. Anthropic should be an example of what happens when you break the law.
🚨BREAKING: Anthropic has now been SUED by EVERY major music label on Earth. Sony and Warner are the latest to accuse the $2 TRILLION company of pirating songs from Taylor Swift, The Beatles and Michael Jackson to train Claude. The publishers are seeking up to $150,000 PER work infringed, with the lawsuit naming CEO Dario Amodei personally. Anthropic already paid Universal Music $1.5 BILLION to settle the same claim last year.

Do you think these people are truly ignorant? Cognitive dissonance? Sheep brained and unable to think for themselves outside of their social circle?
"Israel is murdering children!!!! Now excuse me, I have to go to the rally for Lindsay Clancy."

The first time our nation banded together behind a singular cause was in 1776. The next time was in September 11, 2001 And the third time is August of 2026 when we all share an equal loathing of Anthropic and Dario Amodei.

6 months ago, Claude was revolutionary & unlocked so many doors in my productivity. Now it’s utterly unusable. Opus 5 is retarded. Fable 5 lasts about 1 hour before burning through my credits and Dario is insufferable. Their watermarking was the final straw. Cancelling Claude now

I always wondered why all my Claude credits were disappearing so fast. Turns out this turd Dario Amodei has been eating them all along.

The levels to which Anthropic is royally fucking themselves is astounding. This level of aura-loss will be studied for generations
🔴 So Anthropic just wrote a statement just to confirm all concerns about watermarking. - It’s permanent and not removable. - It will be applied to all new models from now on, and existing after December. - They will apply it also to translations. - They will provide a binary AI detection tool and API, that will determine whether AI was used or not, and not the extent or prior work from the user. - It’s a code of conduct with the EU that they voluntarily signed. - They decided to apply it globally instead of just inside the EU. If you are using Claude for your university or a zero-AI policy job, stop using it right now. Either go back to manual writing or change to another provider without watermarking (like Grok).

It’s cause y’all were never special for being devs. Just highly paid nerds who had better relationships with computers than humans.
Honest question to software engineers: Don’t you feel like AI took the thing that used to make you special and handed it to everyone else?

After having used opus 5 regularly since launch day, I can officially say it’s terrible. Worst experience I’ve had using ai and I’ve never felt more frustration trying to get a tool to do what I ask without triple checking it didn’t miss something. Anthropic sucks

I used to be MAGA. But the MAGA crowd is an older dying generation. He became like the swamp he promised to clean up. He is a career politician. Should have recognized it when he wanted his name behind the vaccines in project warp speed. He loves his name and worships it. This crowd of boomers still likes Trump because they all look and sound the same. They all believe they’re the greatest generation of “real men and women” to have ever graced God’s green earth. Arrogance and hubris. This same generation created the problems of today because they’re all like Trump in some shape or form. They identify with him and love that he just “says it like it is” without full well realizing every generation is like the last throughout all of history. Trump is no different. He went in wanting to clean the swamp but then the became the swamp. A man of strong convictions but low moral foundation. Trump was a failed experiment and I’m beginning to believe all experiments in Washington fail. And all experiments in politics throughout history fail for that matter. It comes with the territory. Whatever. I’ve become the wiser for it. Thank you Trump. You taught me something.

I voted for Trump three times. But tell me where Massie is wrong.
Of all the stupid things this administration has done… Hiding Epstein files, trying to pass tariffs without Congress, advocating for more spending, ignoring DOGE, indemnifying glyphosate, Starting a war in the Middle East will prove to be the biggest and most costly blunder.

Covid proved to me that the entire scientific community and those in academia + higher education have experienced mass psychosis and are brainwashed. Why in the hell then would I believe “the science” behind climate change. These institutions are compromised and highjacked.
