In 2022 I got a $10k payout
I thought I had made it - I quit my job and started trading full-time
I re-invested the whole payout into more prop firm accounts, and within a month I had blown them all
It took me 2 whole years to get my next prop firm payout - a big $25k+ one
Over the next 6 months I was able to pull $100k+ from the market, all while I kept working my job at Tesco
Moral of the story - don’t rush going into trading full-time
Having consistent income takes a lot of the pressure off your trading, and sometimes jumping in too early can be detrimental
Have at least 6 months of expenses saved and a decent level of funding before you dive in

I’m 24, from India & my Dad’s getting old.
I sold off my laptop as my last resort to arrange money to buy some 5k accounts.
Here’s my story.
This post will be long but relatable to every indian kid chasing his dream of trading even after constant failure &
It should give you some reality check.
My dad’s a retired worker & he sacrificed his whole life working to have ends meet. Even after his retirement, he used his little pension to run the house not until recently.
I’ve always had this self hatred & sadness that I couldn’t provide any help even after being such a grownup & still having to see my parents suffer to pay bills.
I’d be crying in my room silently wondering if thing trading thing will ever work out? Am I wasting my parents dream of me getting a decent job & provide some help.
I’ve even had thoughts of ending my life too multiple times.
I’d run around from one strategy to another hoping this would be one that would turn my life around. Then came a point in my life where I had nothing left & down to my last $500 which I saved up from door-dashing & freelancing.
I told myself that If I lose this - I’ll end this life. Because I had already left studying & trading was the only thing that I pursued & dreamt to do while I was sleeping or awake.
They say - “when you’re at the bottom - the only way to go is up”
And that’s exactly what happened - After countless of nights of staring at the charts on my mobile. Because I sold off my laptop to arrange money to get me some funded accounts. I finally passed a single 5K account among 4 accounts.
And life took a U-turn from that. I reached a payout of $500. And reinvested into this 25K account of @fundingpips that I have & still hold dear to my heart.
Now I help my parents around with every other bill that I can. I pay off the electricity, the gas, the phone & internet bills, medical bills, take them out for dinners at great places every weekend, spoil my mum with as many sarees she wants,while my Dad saves up his money for retirement trips with his old buddies every month.
You can do a lot from a 5K or a 10K account. Specially for any third world country like India, it’s enough to live a decent life & help your parents around with the bills atleast.
Please take this thing seriously. Trading can change your life.
Start being accountable for your actions & mistakes.
Your mum & dad deserves so much more than this regular peasant life my brodas.

Here is something you can do as homework in XauUsd...
I teach that Regular Trading Hours [RTH] is useful for Index Futures trading.
How can we use this insight with Gold?
Open a 1min chart of XauUsd and drop a Horizontal Ray on the close at 4:14 pm ET and one on 9:30 am ET.
Then grade this range with Quadrants and Fib levels -1.0 and -2.0 and be sure to overlay the Fib on the lower Horizontal Ray and drag up to the Higher Ray you used to note the times I cited here.

The market is extremely Bearish!
2024: Yields crashed -16% in weeks before the Fed’s first cut. Markets rushed into bonds, betting big on lower rates. —> Effect is Bullish!
2025: Yields are rising +5% into the next cut. Investors are dumping bonds, demanding higher payback to lend money. —> Effect is Bearish!
This is dangerous. Imagine your credit card company telling you “we lowered your rate,” but the bank suddenly doubles the cost of your mortgage. That’s what’s happening: the Fed cuts short rates, but long-term borrowing is getting more expensive. It means the Fed has lost control. The government pays more, companies pay more, and even households pay more.
The only ones believing in a positive effect of the rate cuts are retails, the Fed is cutting, but markets don’t believe it will fix anything. Big players are rushing into yields, demanding higher returns! This is what I said weeks ago. The significance of a rate cut can be seen through the uncertainty and the different opinions regarding the FED decision.
While everyone watches only at the stock market, people forget the Yield/ Bond markets. This brings me to the conclusion that big players are positioning in a very bearish stance towards the next rate cut.

The golden cross on the altcoins index just appeared, and it’s a sign that an altseason is coming. This pattern has always appeared before an altseason, and last time it led to a 10,000% pump in altcoins. There’s no reason to believe that 2025 will be an exception. 🔥🔥
I like simple and straightforward charts. ETH looks nice and clean, and the plan is simple. Face resistance at $3,500, then breakout of the trend line, face resistance at $4k, correct a bit, then reach $5k and act like going to dump and pump to $8.5k while liquidating a hell of a lot of shorts. When this happens, BTC Dominance will be either at 50 or 44, which will mark the end of the mega alt season. Timeline: July to October. Just time it right. Good luck!
