Question for US Tesla owners: if your car could join the Robotaxi fleet and earn while you sleep, would you actually let strangers ride in it? Aussie here, still waiting on unsupervised anything, so I'm living through you lot
Tesla says active FSD users hit 1.74 million in Q3. US owners, what finally got you to subscribe? Down under I'm on 14.3.5, great in town, still learning our country highways
Tesla's talking about letting owners add their own cars to the Robotaxi fleet. US owners, would you send yours out to earn while you sleep? Down under we'd settle for FSD that nails country highways
Question for US Tesla owners: if you moved down under tomorrow, what would you miss most? My guess is Supercharger density and FSD that's had a head start
Morning America. Which US city should get Tesla Robotaxi next? Asking as an Aussie who'd happily fly over just to take a ride
US Tesla owners on 14.3.13, how's it handling long highway stretches? Down under that's the bit we're keenest to see sorted.
18 A350s done in 33 days. Long-haul flights to Australia with proper Wi-Fi can't come soon enough. Which airline flying down under should be next?
BREAKING: British Airways has completed its @Starlink rollout across all Airbus A350s in just over a month.
Full rollout across its entire fleet of 300+ aircraft is targeted for March 2028.
Ohhh my goddd!!! Yea boi @TeslaAUNZ Everyone else getting the update??
Sounds like Tesla is building its own maps for FSD over the next few months. Could be the fix for country highways down under. Aussie owners, where does FSD still trip up for you?
Aussie owners, biggest takeaway from the Tesla Q3 call? Cybercabs to customers by year end, Unsupervised FSD in customer cars around Q2 2027, or an Optimus video in a month or so
FSD Unsupervised in US customer cars by Q2 2027. Down under I'd settle for a supervised build that nails country highways first. Still on 14.3.5 but the timeline is getting real
Tesla's @aelluswamy says FSD Unsupervised could start rolling out to customer cars in select areas the U.S. in Q2 2027. Those customers could then add their cars to the robotaxi network.
Tesla added a record 260K FSD subscribers in Q3, now 1.74M active. People really are buying FSD with a car attached. Aussie owners just waiting on the next build
Record deliveries in Australia got a shout out in the Q3 update. Yea Boi. Now just send the country highway FSD improvements down under next
Q3 Shareholder Update → ir.tesla.com
Highlights
– FSD Supervised attach rate grew to over 75% of new vehicle deliveries in NA
– Unveiled the next-gen Roadster
– Record deliveries in Canada, Australia, Japan & Taiwan
– Tesla Semi now in volume production. Top variant can go up to 500 miles at a full 82,000 lbs while achieving efficiency of 1.7 kWh/mile – about a third of the energy a comparable diesel truck burns for the same load
– Ended the quarter with the largest backlog for our passenger vehicles in 4 years!
FSD Supervised
– 4 new approvals since Q2 (Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia)
– FSD is now live in nine EU countries & used by over 100,000 customers logging more than 160 million kilometers since initial approval
Robotaxi
– Deployed Cybercab into our Austin fleet
– Hit nearly 2 million cumulative unsupervised miles, 8x growth in the quarter
– Austin service now runs 6 am to midnight, with wait times continuing to come down as we add cars & improve the orchestration algorithms
– Added Grok to Cybercab with Grok Bot & Connectors, letting you interface with your inbox, calendar, files, chats and tasks, all by voice.
Transport, office & living room in one
Robotics
– Started production of @Tesla_Optimus on our high-volume lines in Fremont.
These are the first production-quality bots we've built, proving that the current manufacturing process for Optimus is suitable for a commercial product
SI Compute
– On track for 400 MW of training compute by year end, feeding both vehicle & humanoid autonomy
– Austin Fab construction continues, equipment commissioning planned for 2027
Battery
– Battery supply is still the limiter on how fast we ramp vehicles globally, so we're expanding on every front: pack capacity in Berlin, cathode and lithium refining in Texas, LFP cells in Nevada
– Shipped the first Megapacks built entirely with our own LFP cells
– Increasing 4680 output to support ramp of Cybercab, Semi & Model Y
Energy
– Megafactory Texas is up & running, with Megapack 3 production started
– Highest-ever order rate & backlog for energy storage
Grid constraints & power availability are making Megapack the answer for SI infrastructure demand: it excels at supplying large data center loads, smooths out demand spikes, helps new projects meet grid connection rules & makes the grid itself more stable
All with less local fossil fuel generation
Supporting Infrastructure
– Added 2,100+ net new Supercharger stalls, up 14% year over year
Tesla Q3 call in a few hours. What's the one question you want Elon to answer?
Mine: when does FSD handle Aussie country highways as well as it does in town
Starship catch attempt on Flight 15. Aussies, set the alarms now.
Hey @TeslaANZ, love seeing FSD updates roll out down under 🇦🇺 but it feels like influencers and early access people always get them first while the rest of us FSD owners get nothing. Bit unfair we keep watching everyone else get updates before us. When do regular Aussie owners get some love? ⚡
Tesla sending a speed mode called Mad Max to Australia. Someone on the release team has definitely seen the films. Still on 14.3.5 here, waiting patiently-ish.
Tesla Q3 call is tomorrow morning Aussie time. One question I'd love answered: when does FSD move past 14.3.5 for us down under? What's yours?
First real formal step after months of rumours. Committees formed, Elon stepped aside, no terms yet. I wrote up the odds of a Tesla/SpaceX merger a few days ago and it's looking a lot more real now 👇 xitter.cf/Cryptocop86/status/211…
Elon Musk today on a potential merger between SpaceX and Tesla:
"Both Tesla and SpaceX have formed special committees at the request of shareholders. Because I'm a conflicted party I can't be in on these discussions. I don't think we should assume that a merger is a certainty. Do I think it would be a good idea? Yes. But at the end of the day, shareholders have to be supportive of this. The special committees have not reached an agreement on any transaction, and it doesn't mean they will, but there is a lot of be gained from cooperating on SI, chip design, robots, mass or orbit, connectivity. I think it would be a good idea."
