Crypto morning thread (Oct 19, 2026):
📈 Bitcoin rebounds above $82.5K as China GDP and risk assets stabilize
China’s Q3 GDP grew 4.5% (vs 4.3% in Q2 and ~4.4% expected), with stronger retail sales. Nasdaq futures jumped >1% while oil eased, lifting BTC from a weekend low near $80.7K to ~$82.5–82.6K (+0.5–1% on the day).
💸 Spot ETF outflows keep institutional demand soft
U.S. Bitcoin ETFs saw another ~$229M in net outflows last week (after ~$681M the prior week). October is now ~–$617M MTD. ETH ETFs lost ~$320M in the same stretch, keeping a lid on fresh capital.
⏳ Mt. Gox pushes creditor repayments to Oct 2027
The trustee extended the deadline a fourth time (from Oct 31, 2026). This delays distribution of remaining Bitcoin and reduces near-term forced selling pressure on the market.
📊 DeFi leads the bounce while BTC holds gains
Arbitrum rose ~6–7%, with Uniswap and other DeFi tokens outperforming. Broader alt strength accompanied the macro-driven recovery as total crypto market cap stabilized around $2.7–2.8T.

24 hours recap
Bitcoin holds ~$82K on a quiet Sunday after fresh ETF outflows and Hormuz pressure 🛢️
US spot BTC ETFs logged $82.4M net outflows on Oct 16 (IBIT -$71.8M), pushing the week to ~$229M out and October near $617M. Price still defended the $80K zone and sits around $81.9–82.0K (+0.5% 24h) on thin weekend volume.
~$200–300M liquidations keep leverage in check 💥
Mostly longs got flushed over the past day (one tally showed ~$198–317M, 70–79% long-side). No cascade, but funding remains elevated and the market stays range-bound between the $80.5K support area and the $82.6–83K resistance zone.
Hormuz tensions + sticky inflation keep the macro lid on ⚠️
Iran-related shipping frictions and ship damage reports continue, Brent crude near $110, and September CPI at 3.7% still weigh on risk appetite. Fed is in blackout ahead of the Oct 28 meeting; next directional catalyst likely comes with stock futures reopening.

BTC rebounds to $82k post-CPI
🔥 Hot inflation + $1B liquidations
CPI hit 3.7% and PPI surged 6.3%, reigniting rate-hike fears. BTC briefly broke below $80k (low ~$79.8k) for the first time in a month as ~$930M–$1B in mostly long positions were liquidated.
📉 Fed cools hike bets, yields drop
Comments from Bowman, Daly, and Warsh pulled October hike odds from ~50% back to ~30%. The 10-year yield fell to ~5.08%, helping risk assets bounce.
📈 BTC reclaims $82k, thin ETF inflows
Bitcoin recovered to ~$82.1k–$82.5k after the dip. Spot BTC ETFs saw –$261M outflow Wednesday then only +$5.1M Thursday (IBIT led). KOSPI’s ~8% crash added pressure earlier.

Strongholds is coming to MemePit as our featured mode.
Your base. Your Pyre. Your raids. Here's how it pays:
The Fountain opens with a starting pool seeded from the Genesis Anon mint. After that it refills every week from real game revenue: Shards bought with ETH, fees, royalties and more. No emissions printer.
Genesis Anon NFT holders bank Output Share every hour their Pyre burns, then claim their cut of the ETH pool every Sunday. $MEMEPIT bonus rewards joins later.
No NFT? Same Pyre. It burns for Drips instead, and Drips feed Season Rewards.
Scout the World Map, raid rival bases, take their exposed loot. They hit you, you run it back in revenge mode.
And Strongholds is just the headline. Arena PvP, Chain Wars, Guild Raids, World Boss, Open Outcry, the Daily Pit. Plenty to grind.
Full numbers soon. Keep your Pyre lit.

1/ 📉 Hot CPI triggers risk-off dump
US September CPI hit 3.7% YoY (vs 3.6% expected), lifting near-term Fed hike odds and weighing on risk assets. Bitcoin slid below $81k (testing ~$80k–$80.4k) and is trading near $81k, down ~3% in 24h; ETH fell harder (~5–6.5%). South Korea’s Kospi plunged up to 8% with circuit breakers, Nikkei ~5%.
2/ 💥 ~$0.9–1B liquidations, mostly longs
Crypto futures liquidations spiked to roughly $900M–$1B over 24 hours (some hourly windows ~$450–500M), with longs making up ~90%+. ETH often led the notional wipeout as leverage flushed on the inflation print and equity rout.
3/ 🔴 BTC ETFs see $261M outflows
US spot Bitcoin ETFs posted $261M net outflows on Oct 14 (Fidelity FBTC –$152.7M, BlackRock IBIT –$110.9M), reversing the prior day’s +$176M inflows. ETH ETFs also saw significant redemptions amid the broader risk-off move.

24 hours of crypto-moving news
1/4 🛢️ Bitcoin slips under $84K as Iran hits tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude jumped above $101, lifting Treasury yields and the dollar and hitting risk assets. BTC traded near $83,800, down about 2–3% on the day.
2/4 💥 Liquidations jumped 235% to roughly $547M in 24 hours, mostly longs. ETH fell about 3.5% to ~$2,580 and accounted for ~$174M of the wipeout. DeFi dropped nearly 6% and memecoins about 5%.
3/4 📊 Spot Bitcoin ETFs still took in $119M on Oct 6 (BlackRock’s IBIT ~$122M), a fourth inflow day in five. Ether ETFs lost $202M, their sixth straight outflow day and about $408M over that streak.
4/4 🏛️ Traders are waiting on Fed minutes later today. A hawkish read could push yields and the dollar higher and keep pressure on crypto after the failed push toward $87K. #Bitcoin #Crypto #Markets
PaperDAO is not Papertrade.
@papertrade_xyz is the venue. It launches with an empty LP, and paper mints from a supply of zero. The earliest flow mints the most paper.
@paperdao_xyz is a separate community treasury on @daosdotworld. It pools ETH so the pool can trade that first block at size. Paper, staking yield, and PnL stay in the treasury. $PULP is your pro rata claim on that book.
The site’s own timeline:
Before Oct 8: ETH raise on Robinhood Chain. $PULP minted, pool locked. Oct 8: treasury moves to HyperEVM and predeposits. Oct 10: live trading from the first block. Later: once paper is transferable, $PULP holders redeem for their share.
Whitelist is reviewed by your X account. The wallet you submit is the EVM wallet you deposit from on Robinhood Chain. Allocation is first come, first served until it fills.
No returns promised. $PULP can go to zero. PaperDAO says it is not affiliated with Papertrade.

I keep coming back to the launch rule in the @themutualfun prospectus, not the chair art.
$TMF supply is 1,604,401,000. That is 401,000 tokens for each of the 4,001 Seats. No team allocation.
1,203,401,000 of that supply sells through StonkBrokers’ Smart Launch. The first 99 minutes, every buy is taxed. Minute 1 is 99%. It drops 1 point a minute until it hits 0. Half of that tax is added to the Uniswap pool. The pool is a 1% fee tier and it is locked. Any $TMF still unsold when the launch closes is burned.
Buying the first block is not an edge. It is a 99% fee.
The other 401,000,000 $TMF sits in the Open Market, enough to buy back the 1,000 Seats it opens with, at a fixed 401,000 $TMF per Seat. A random Seat costs 8% over that. Picking a specific Seat costs 16% over. Selling one back pays 8% under.
Seat price and token price are the same number, written two ways.

24 hours recap
📈 Bitcoin cleared the $85K sell wall and tagged $86,857, its highest print since Sept 23. Shorts got squeezed: about $122M in BTC short liquidations and $210M–$327M across crypto, with futures open interest up roughly $2.3B. Spot was near $85,900–$86,500 after the spike.
💰 US spot Bitcoin ETFs flipped back to inflows: +$102.7M on Oct 1, led by IBIT at about +$195M. That followed a $148.7M outflow that broke a nine-day streak worth ~$3.1B. Pace is still far below the Sept 21 peak of $999M. ETH ETFs saw about $55M in outflows the same day.
🏦 Citi lifted its 12-month Bitcoin target from $82,000 to $113,000. The rally is running into today’s September jobs report (12:30 UTC) with the 10-year yield still near 5.23%–5.29%, multi-decade highs. Next Fed decision is Oct 27–28. The SEC also proposed a tailored crypto custody framework for advisers and funds on Oct 1.
