Steve Witkoff has arrived in St Petersburg for a meeting with Putin. Lavrov said that Moscow was not expecting a miracle from Washington, the United States will at best remain competitors for Russia.

Marianna Krasiuk is among those killed by a Russian drone strike yesterday in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv region. Her little daughter, Myroslava, is now in the hospital fighting for her life.

Baby Anhelina and her mom Inna were killed by Russia yesterday. Anhelina was just over a year old. Her mom, Inna Mariukhna, was a primary school teacher. They were in the park in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv region, when a Russian drone attacked. Little Anhelina was killed in her stroller. Her mom died of her injuries in hospital. Another girl killed in the strike was just 11 years old. Six people lost their lives from that Russian strike. All of them had simply been spending time in the park. At least 15 more were injured, including seven kids. Deepest condolences...

Russians killed an infant and two women in a park in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv region. At least 14 people were injured in the Russian drone attack, including 7 children. Many people, including families with children, were in the park at the time of the attack.

Ukrainian Magura MV7 sea drones took part in the training of the US 7th Infantry Division in Michigan. Ukraine is sharing the experience of modern warfare and using sea drones with our partners.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: One of the reasons why this war needs to end is because too many people are dying. One of the reasons why this war needs to end is because Ukraine's electric grid is being devastated. One of the reasons this war needs to end is because every month 20,000 or 25,000 Russians are slaughtered as they try to advance in Ukraine. All of these are bad things. [Q]: Is Ukraine an ally of the United States? [US Vice President JD Vance]: They're certainly a partner in some ways, but I think we have some divergent interests from time to time. For example, do I think they should be bombing Russian diesel facilities that raise the cost of energy for Americans? No. [Q]: Is partner different than ally? [VP Vance]: We don't have a formal alliance as far as I know with Ukraine. They're not in NATO. I don't think that they should be in NATO. I think that they're a country, a very admirable country, a beautiful country with a lot of amazing people.

Today, five children killed by a Russian attack - 13-year-old Zakharii, 14-year-old Viorika, 16-year-old Dominika, 9-year-old Federika, and 18-month-old Artem - were laid to rest in Radushne, Dnipropetrovsk region. A Russian missile struck the Voronov family's home on the night of July 29-30. For more than two months, the children had been listed as missing. Their bodies were finally identified after extensive DNA testing. Ten members of the Voronov family were killed in that Russian attack: 47-year-old Artem, his 41-year-old wife Olena, seven of their children, and their 18-month-old grandson.

MI5 Director General Sir Ken McCallum: Russia remains aggressor number one, as Putin’s Kremlin continues to lash out at the UK and its allies. The Russian military and intelligence services are once again escalating their attempts at hybrid warfare – being careful to stay below the NATO Article V threshold. This means Russia is using tactics that stop short – though sometimes not much short – of conventional conflict. It’s no accident that Russian aggressors are trying to unsettle other European homelands at a time when their military progress in Ukraine is minimal and horrifically costly. The whole aim of hybrid tactics is to try to intimidate us. So let’s not fall into that trap. But we do need to be resilient to them, the day before, not the morning after.

Lavrov claims that Russia has never attacked Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. According to him, the only exceptions were facilities "that directly supply relevant goods to the Ukrainian Armed Forces." Comment from me: I wanted to make a split-screen video showing the aftermath of Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. But then I thought that anyone with common sense already knows Lie-vrov is lying. Russia attacks Ukraine's civilian infrastructure every single day.

In the summer of 2023, reconnaissance Defender Volodymyr Ovsiannikov came under Russian fire and suffered severe injuries. He lost an arm, a leg, and an eye, and underwent 48 surgeries. His Mom, Mrs Vira, has stayed by his side, caring for him and supporting him. “She gave birth to me, taught me how to walk, and raised me. And then she had to teach me to walk all over again,” Volodymyr says. Mrs Vira shares that Volodymyr often felt insecure and depressed, and she had to find the words to help him get through this. Yet another historic first has taken place in Ukraine. The most important part is that the rescue mission saved the Defender's life. "A historic event has taken place - an evacuation from the front line using a flying drone." - Napalm, a squad leader and programmer with the Unmanned Ground Systems Company of the 92nd Assault Brigade. An infantryman from the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade was wounded while holding his position. Due to intense Russian drone activity and mined terrain, evacuating him using conventional unmanned ground vehicles was impossible. That’s when specialists from 92nd Assault Brigade UGS Company took responsibility for doing something that had never been done before: evacuating a service member using an aerial drone. The aircraft was a heavy-lift hexacopter manufactured by Ukrainian company Gurzuf Defence, which provided it free of charge. The drone was piloted by an operator from the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The operation was a success - the wounded Defender was rescued! (Note how evacuation by ground drones has already become "conventional". This war is changing the future of warfare)

Peskov: A final peace agreement cannot be reached without Kyiv. "As for a settlement, the American side continues its mediation and peacemaking efforts. We highly appreciate them, but of course, a final settlement is impossible without the participation of someone from Kyiv who is willing to take responsibility." Comment from me: Kyiv has stated repeatedly that Ukraine is ready to participate in any real peace negotiation.

Rybar* has published an article with a map (see attached) in which he is "analyzing" "the hot season" in Europe, as he calls it. According to Rybar (who is obviously not working on his own accord but within the general line of Russian propaganda), the protests in Europe should be viewed not as a united wave but as a series of national crises, each one having their own rhythm. However, the Russian propaganda aims to ramp up hostility, conflicts and crises in Europe. It acts through social media, financing and direct intrusions. Russia's hybrid war in Europe is raging. Recognizing this is no longer enough. Proactive measures are necessary. *Rybar is a Russian "Z-propagandist", who runs a whole network of Russian propaganda Telegram channels. He was recently detained in Montenegro where he was recording a video for the Solovyev Live network. Later, Rybar was extradited to Russia.

President Zelenskyy: Ukraine never wanted this war, and we have welcomed literally EVERY attempt by our partners to bring it to a just and dignified end. We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Ballistic missiles, Shahed drones, and killings are Russia’s repeated response. Putin does not want to end this war - he does not even want to take any steps toward de-escalation. EVERY one of our partners has experienced this firsthand when Russia refused. It is crucial to call things by their proper names: call the aggressor an aggressor and help Ukraine protect lives. When supplies of missiles for Ukraine’s air defense are blocked while Russia receives sanctions relief or postponements, this unfortunately amounts to a denial of reality by our partners. The reality is that the war continues, and it continues solely because of Russian strikes and Russia’s desire to prolong it.
