This is the project where the dev stepped back, but the community REFUSED to let it die. 👀
Let’s be real, when a dev steps away, most projects fade into oblivion. But NPC? The community kept it alive, and THAT alone makes this project special. 💪
I’m still seeing NPC pfps all over my timeline and people talking about the project. I don’t see that changing anytime soon! 🔥
When I spotted this specific NPC sitting on the floor, I HAD to grab it. 😂

But there’s another part of my thesis I haven’t talked about enough: THE NPC NARRATIVE. 🧠
Think about it…
NPC is a term EVERYONE recognizes. Crypto natives know it, but so do normies.
You hear it online, in schools, in everyday conversations… it’s everywhere! 😂
That kind of built-in recognition and relatability is a powerful thing, and IMO, it’s something that shouldn't be overlooked.
Sometimes the strongest narratives are the ones people already understand. 👀🔥

IMO, when you combine art this good with incredible mechanics that encourage participation, you have the recipe for something SPECIAL. 👀
And remember… the supply is eventually expected to be cut in HALF through the forges and other mystery mechanics. The first forge alone took us from 9,125 to 8,043 FRENS! 🤯
Now ask yourself…
😏 What happens when the next forge is announced and people see the leaderboard rewards?
😏 What happens as the supply continues shrinking and FRENS become harder to get?
😏 What happens when the Workshop drops and we see what @Richi0118 & @cryptopeng1 have been cooking up?!

Artificial scarcity is a fallacy peddled by memecoin speculators. No artist has ever attained greater cultural significance merely by producing less.
Over the last three years of doing art, not once have I sold out my work entirely.
I think it is quite okay to have work available in some capacity. I look at it from the perspective of the art that I see in galleries that I visit; there are some works that hang on the wall for years before finding the right person.
