if more high-throughput L2s/apps like Lighter continue to emerge, blob burn could move closer to issuance, pushing ETH towards net deflation.
a quick background:
EIP-4844 introduced blob gas last year where all blob fees are burned.
as rollups scale, blob usage scales, burning ETH.
Lighter, cryptoβs most active perpdex right now, showed how far zk + blobs can push throughput on Ethereum without sacrificing L1 security.
this is still early. as rollups expand and consumer apps emerge, blob fees are positioned to become a major driver of ETH burn.
