We’re getting close to a co-op Warped Universe now. Very close. We’ve been head down for a few months now working 7 days a week, nonstop. 5+ builds a day getting through tests, 16 hours a day. It’s a complete rewrite of the game but oh so worth it.
Our game has 4 modes, real-time ground and space flight, and turn-based ground and space flight. Implementing co-op into the game is like doing it for 4 games. We’ve basically rewritten the entire game 4 times to cover each mode. And because of that we have to update and fix all modes in singleplayer too because when you update one side, naturally the other side breaks and needs attention. So it’s like 8 games being updated at once. We chose hard mode in making a game.
All modes are testing solid except for co-op turn-based ground, as it’s the last one to be updated. And it’s a very tough one but we are almost there. There is a reason there aren’t many turn-based co-op games. It has to be perfectly in sync. All the time. Every move, every decision, all the math and turns. One out of sync glitch and the whole mission is thrown out for all in the game. The great thing is realtime ground and space are solid and all major bugs squashed (there will still be minor ones, it’s early access, but it’s working). And same with turn-based space. Turn-based ground is the last of major updates and we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now. Co-op is really fun. I expect a surge of players once this is out.

One thing I’ve picked up from @EmanAbio tweets is that the projects that stand out on $Sui won’t necessarily be the ones doing exactly what everyone else is doing.
The interesting ones will be the projects that are creative, different and actually give people a reason to care.
✅ Memes with good lore.
✅ Projects with strong narratives.
Creative ways of bringing things like RWAs, stocks, bonds and other real-world concepts onchain.
TL;DR: New and existing builders should focus on finding creative ways to stand out whether through lore, utility, or simply doing something the ecosystem hasn’t seen before.

Unpopular opinion:
Sui’s community is becoming one of the biggest reasons people don’t want to build on $Sui.
And honestly, we’re dangerously close to repeating the same mistake we made in 2024.
The community keeps complaining about lack of liquidity, lack of projects, lack of users and lack of activity.
But the moment a new project or person enters the ecosystem, the first assumption is:
“They’re here to extract.”
How the hell are we supposed to grow like that?
Not every new project is a scam. Not everyone coming into Sui is trying to drain the ecosystem. And not every project needs permission from the existing Sui crowd to exist.
If you think a project is bad, expose it. Do your research. Warn people. Fine.
But constantly attacking anything new just because it isn’t already part of our little ecosystem circle is not protecting Sui. It’s choking Sui.
And this whole “we already have X, so why do we need another one?” mentality is ridiculous.
Just because we have @blastdotfun doesn’t mean another launchpad shouldn’t exist.
Competition is good.
More projects are good.
More founders experimenting are good.
More liquidity is good.
More users are good.
You cannot chase every new opportunity out of the ecosystem and then turn around and complain that Sui has no liquidity.
You can’t have it both ways.
If Sui actually wants to become a major ecosystem, the community needs to stop acting like there’s a limited number of seats at the table.
There’s room for more people.
There’s room for more projects.
Let people build.

I've been thinking about @SuiNetwork lately, and I wonder how much of the FUD comes from a gap between what the community expects sui:native to become and what the founders actually want to build. 🤔
We keep comparing Sui to Solana, Robinhood, etc. But are we assuming they're all trying to achieve the same goal? If the goals are different, that could explain some of the frustration.
@EmanAbio, I'd love to read an article in your own words about why Sui was built and where @Mysten_Labs wants to take it. I think a lot of us would appreciate that clarity. 🙏
Those who are bullish would have a clearer sense of what they're backing. And anyone who came in expecting something else could decide whether that direction still makes sense to them. 💧
