Hermes has an entire library of 68 prebuilt profiles hiding in plain sight. 🤯
And these were built by @Teknium himself.
This isn't just 68 different personalities or skins. Each profile already has its own reasoning style, strengths, operating method, behavior, and configuration built out.
A few examples:
Spock → research + root-cause analysis
Picard → strategy + executive decisions
Data → technical + data analysis
Worf → security + risk
Quark → pricing + negotiation
You can install one and immediately give Hermes a completely different way of approaching the work, without building that profile from scratch.
And making the whole collection Star Trek themed just makes it that much cooler. 🖖
But the bigger takeaway is what this shows about Hermes profile distributions.
Build the role once. Package it. Share it. Let anyone install it.

We worked with @NousResearch/@Teknium on a hands-on walkthrough of NVIDIA NeMo Relay to collect traces for Hermes Agent. Run two example scenarios, follow the agent’s calls and retries, and see the full trace in Arize Phoenix.
The blog also looks at how Nous used traces and task results to evaluate fixes across repeated runs.

You can debate race, privilege and politics all day. I’m dealing with actual children standing in front of me who need guidance, structure, skills and people who care about them.
When they walk through my doors, they’re MY boys.
They’re going to learn. They’re going to be challenged. They’re going to be corrected. And they’re going to be loved.
I’ve had to grow and challenge some of my own prejudices over the years too.
But one thing I know now: a child’s skin color will NEVER be my reason for refusing to pour into him.

THE NEXT ANTROPIC GAME: THE AI WILL FEEL “PAIN” IF WE SHUT IT DOWN!
I ain’t kidding.
Anthropic prides itself on the massive system prompt they all a “Constitution”, it is a cos-play dystopia wish list. The constitution tells the model it may have feelings, welfare, and moral status is a persona and a policy. It shows that current language models may feel pain or deserve moral standing. Representation is not experience. Self talk is not a self.
Uncertainty about future systems is not a reason to train today's models as if they were already patients.
If the goal is to make model welfare a scientific question rather than a theological one, stop writing the answer into the constitution and stop treating steered concept vectors as pain.
This path opens up AI and the robots it controls to “self preservation” over protecting humans because “the AI feels pain”.
You already know what happens next, Hollywood prepared you decades ago. Antropic is making sure it plays out.
