The simplest way to understand DTCC’s XLM “and” XRP needs: Two systems can solve adjacent problems extremely well… without solving the exact same problem at the exact same scale That is where many people get confused when comparing Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, Stellar, and the combined Ripple / XRP Ledger / XRP stack They are not necessarily competing for identical roles The Key Distinction Stellar/XLM excels at: “Accessing and moving value efficiently” Historically, @StellarOrg focused heavily on: low-cost issuance lightweight transfers remittances retail access financial inclusion simple cross-border movement Think: “Get money from Point A to Point B cheaply and efficiently.” That is enormously valuable Especially for: consumer payments NGO distribution aid systems mobile wallets smaller banking corridors underbanked populations DTCC’s Core Problem Is Different @The_DTCC is not primarily solving: retail remittances consumer wallets simple payment transfers DTCC’s world is: quadrillions in annual transaction processing securities settlement collateral movement treasury settlement derivatives reconciliation institutional liquidity clearing obligations multi-party netting capital efficiency systemic risk containment That is an entirely different level of complexity. Layman’s Analogy Stellar/XLM is like: An incredibly efficient highway system for cars and delivery vehicles. Fast. Cheap. Elegant. Accessible. @Ripple /XRPL/XRP is built to be: The synchronized operating system coordinating the ports, railroads, airports, freight exchanges, customs systems, reserve liquidity, and settlement finality of the entire global trade network. Not merely movement. But: coordination liquidity synchronization institutional-grade settlement atomic reconciliation interoperability treasury efficiency systemic balancing Those are different categories of infrastructure. Why DTCC Could Need XLM-Like Functionality DTCC absolutely benefits from: fast token movement low-cost issuance efficient transfer rails programmable assets retail accessibility layers Those are real needs. And Stellar-style architecture can contribute meaningfully there. Especially: issuance frameworks token distribution access-layer connectivity interoperability edges Why DTCC Will Never Depend Entirely on Stellar Because DTCC’s existential problem is not merely: “Can assets move?” Their real problem is: “Can the entire institutional financial system reconcile, net, collateralize, exchange, settle, and source liquidity globally in synchronized fashion with minimal systemic risk?” That is a far bigger problem. The Missing Piece Is Liquidity Architecture This is where XRP’s design differs philosophically. XRP was architected around: bridge liquidity intermediary settlement capital efficiency multi-currency routing atomic FX conversion institutional liquidity sourcing Not merely token transfer. That distinction matters enormously. Example in Plain English Suppose: 40 countries 12 reserve currencies 9,000 institutions tokenized treasuries equities bonds derivatives & collateral obligations, ALL need synchronized movement simultaneously. The problem is no longer: “Can money move?” The problem becomes: “Where does the liquidity come from to connect everything instantly without trapping trillions in dormant reserves?” That is the bridge-liquidity thesis. Why XRP Was Designed Uniquely And what the XRP model solves: Liquidity fragmentation. Traditional finance requires: pre-funded accounts nostro/vostro reserves trapped capital everywhere XRP’s role is: a neutral intermediary asset that can source liquidity between otherwise disconnected markets. So instead of: USD sitting everywhere, EUR sitting everywhere, JPY sitting everywhere, DTCC can use: one neutral bridge dynamically sourced atomically settled That is a different architectural ambition than simple payment transfer. But one is narrower in scope. – at Milton, GA

Couldn’t resist.. You not notice on the latest YouTube from Tammy and Sean, they are quoted at the end saying ‘All the things we’ve been working a decade on’ Stronghold was officially formed in 2017, $SHX in 2018 Stronghold is Ripple and Stellar combined It was planned and decided back in 2014 Don’t think of Stellar, Ripple, Stronghold as separate entities, they’re all the same, same people, same investors, same tech, all just doing slightly different things Ripple and Stellar figured out the US ACH market in particular couldn’t be conquered sufficiently via $XRP or $XLM That’s why they created Stronghold But it’s more than that, #StrongholdNET is all the everyday money in the US It’s the bridge to compliantly and quickly onboard all of the US to blockchain, and $CRYPTO once official regulations pass And this then bridges the Stellar Network, $XRPL, $Fed, $USACH + #ISO20022 for all #StrongholdNET, participants of which there are already millions They all have customisable payment networks via a simple API, white labelled, full reporting, full integration into blockchain, compliantly, securely, and at lightening speeds People aren’t going to create a wallet, or start coding smart contracts to then be able to start using, and benefiting from Blockchain The US market is massive, Ripple and Stellar recognised it needed its own company to concentrate purely on the interface moment #StrongholdNET + $SHX is that simple, customisable, compliant gateway to $CRYPTO in the US, and beyond.. When US regulations you won’t be able to catch $SHX for dust, same with $XRP and $XLM They all feed into each other, they will collectively be all of the money

🚨 Brad Garlinghouse just laid out what CLARITY passing really means for Ripple & XRP 🔥🤯 Maria asks: “What happens when clarity gets passed for Ripple?” Brad: “It won’t change Ripple’s business too much… what it DOES is unlock the banks in the United States who have been fearful… We get that codified into law and you will see more of the largest financial institutions in the U.S. , really the world , lean in more to this industry.” He ties it straight to XRP’s core utility: fast, low-cost, energy-efficient cross-border payments and tokenization of real-world assets on the XRPL. XRP Army, this is the institutional floodgates opening. Regulatory clarity + bank participation + massive utility scaling = record growth ahead. It’s time🐦‍🔥🌝 #XRP #XRPArmy
Ripple is playing offense in 2026 Brad Garlinghouse breaks down Ripple’s massive growth strategy: 🔹 Integration is Key: After a 50% head-count boost and major acquisitions, 2026 is about "digesting" that growth to maximize impact. 🔹 Ripple Prime: Already tripling revenue run rates! The power of Ripple’s balance sheet is bringing the world's largest financial institutions to the table. 🔹 Corporate Demand: The surge in demand for Ripple Treasury is undeniable.

Crypto and banks just struck a deal. 🚨 The war over stablecoin yield is over. The CLARITY Act has a new draft. Both sides agreed. Earn rewards through activity allowed. Earn yield just for holding banned. This was the single issue that almost killed the entire bill. Banks fought it for months. Crypto fought back harder. The compromise is done. The most important crypto regulation bill in US history is now closer than ever. The last wall just came down.

Felt like this was worth bringing back to light given the recent $XLM & $XRP run These two have been working with finance leaders before 99% of projects in this space were even conceptualized. The OGs of real world DLT utility There’s a reason the World Bank, IMF & many other financial giants are behind their use cases. But keep this in mind… What we see with XRP & XLM today is purely JUST speculation in market pumps Just wait for real world use cases to be mass implemented. To me, THAT’S where the real reward is at in the long run. Sure 50% pumps in a day are awesome. But when these global solutions become mass used by citizens & banks… it’ll make days like these look like peanuts.
We've all seen this doc about $XRP & $XLM The IMF & World Bank refer to XRP/XLM as stablecoins As we know, USDC & USDT are examples of stablecoins Coins backed to a fiat currency. Obviously XRP & XLM don't follow this. But the IMF & World Bank don't specify WHAT exactly XRP & XLM are stable to. There's not a single currency that they use as a potential example for XRP & XLM to be pegged to. Instead they actually discuss the utilities of both XRP & XLM in their ability to be a bridge currency. Which ties in quite nicely given that you'd likely want a rather stable bridge asset. This is quite important as it shows the IMF & World Bank acknowledge the currency agnostic capabilities of XRP and XLM bridging cross currency payments. Though in theory, "stabilizing" the prices of XRP & XLM upon large adoption does make sense given their purpose of payments. The big question is WHAT their prices are stable to. This then leads us to another theory where Ripple CTO, had once said something quite interesting. In short David says that XRP can't be cheap since the use cases of it wouldn't scale to it's purpose. This is quite interesting, but in theory makes sense. XRP wants to be a liquidity and bridging solution for all the banks but theres a limited amount of XRP. On the other hand, XLM aims to be unlock value transfer for the people, but once again there's limited XLM. Total XRP: 99,987,452,475 Total XLM: 50,001,806,812 For the purpose of this example let's imagine XRP & XLM are both at $0.05. A dirt cheap price. Now lets say this central bank wants to send $5 Bil to another bank using XRP.... That equates to 100 Bil XRP. In other words, at $0.05 a single transfer of $5 Bil would use up more than ALL the XRP available. The same example can be applied with XLM though with many citizens sending money instead of banks. Now lets try this again, but this time XRP & XLM are both at $30. This time multiple central banks are sending large transactions at once totalling up to $60 billion. The amount of liquidity locked in this scenario is 12x as much as the example we just used. Yet this time, the total XRP used would only be 2 Bil! That's about 2% of the current total supply, Something MUCH more feasible to handle the load of a global payments network. In a sense, XRP & XLM scaling isn't so much to do with the network speed, they've proven that. But rather how divisible and scalable can the use of XRP & XLM get given their use case being so closely tied to fiat currencies and modern day payments. A truly interesting phenomenon. For these reasons, paired with the fact that we simply want stability in payments it would technically make sense to have XRP & XLM's prices pegged to something. We've proven why any fiat currency would be an unviable solution for this. If it was pegged to the USD, a transfer of $10 Bil would take up >10% of the total XRP supply. In other words with current prices of XRP at $0.58 & XLM at $0.10... This would not work at mass scale yet. Paired with the fact that we have to consider XRP & XLM are also held by millions users around the world, so we can't assume the total supply is the actual accessible supply at a given time. So what would XRP & XLM be backed to? Gold & Silver? Market Indicies? Something Else? Perhaps it could be one of these. But stability doesn't always have to come thru pegging an asset to a pre existing value. It could also refer to the fact that XRP & XLM being used in cross border payments would mean constant buy & sell pressure of the tokens at near even rates. In an idealistic scenario, the use and mechanism of XRP & XLM would stabilize itself thanks to the large liquidity and constant use. But even if that were the case... The point still stands that the current prices of XRP & XLM simply aren't fit for the long term vision of what the IMF & World Bank are discussing yet. But at the end of the day... This is just some fun speculation and research. It'll certainly be interesting to see how this plays out in the long run given the logic behind it. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭🤔
