10 more pedestrian injury collisions in HRM in August. Bringing the year to date total to 81 - compared to 72 in 2023 and 68.5 for the Baseline (average of 2018 and 2019) or 48% (!!!) above the Framework's Goal (80% of the Baseline). Pedestrian safety is not getting better.

“In 2003, the French government began installing a network of speed cameras on its roads and ratcheted up fines. As a result, rates of speeding steadily dropped in the first decade of implementation, as did the number of severe injuries and fatalities.”

Not 1 but 2 crosswalk flag installations yesterday. The 2nd being on Thistle Street adjacent to the Zatzman Sportsplex, Dartmouth, a very busy location due to the many transit buses entering and leaving the terminal. Thank you Wagners Law Firm for the funding. @WagnersLawFirm
