Pretty solid episode but I think my favourite piece of characterisation in this show is the focus on Hal’s passive suicidal ideation and the dynamic between that and him getting/using the ring

It takes a massive amount of willpower & strength to push through each day when you don’t wanna be around anymore. Such a great showcase of willpower with Hal Jordan pushing through this for years while still being a hero. I love when these characters are treated like real people

all the “popular kids” who called us losers, weirdos and corny for watching anime, reading manga, playing pokemon or yugioh cards were forced to stay at home during covid and wormed their way into our spaces after realizing we were right anime is cool and when they seen how us “weirdos” were acting in a “weirdo space” they reverted back to their mean girl/boy behaviors cause they wanna make the fandoms “cool” and not “weird” when they are making it weirder in a bad way…
