At 7am this weekend my husband will have already left the house to go and check if the pitch is ok to play on. He could just wait until he gets there at half 8 like everyone else. Saturday is the only day he can get a little lie in, he leaves mega early so that the other parents know ASAP so they may just get that lie in. It’s the small, hidden duties of a manager which make a big difference to the team AND the parents. 100 % dedication and always thinking of others. Early this cold, blustery weekend, volunteers all around the UK will do this so parents can be informed ASAP. It’s not always easy to predict of a game is on or off untill the day of a game. Let’s give these men and women a little pat on the back and a thank you 👏👏 #grassrootshero #teamgrassroots #grassrootsfootball #GRF

🚨 15/2/24 - FA Guidance for use of shin pads. "The amount of shin physically covered is an important consideration as any part of the shin that is not covered is not as well protected. “Micro” or “Mini” shin pads may therefore increase the risk of injury due to the smaller amount of shin covered compared to larger sized shin pads".
