What happened is I am livid over how many domestic priorities were mortgaged for a foreign war that will now also cost us the Senate for the next 10 years and possibly even the Electoral College itself.
What the hell happened to Mike Benz? Did the deep state kill him and take over his twitter?

I hate to break it to you but... Those Democrats you just elected have no plan for the economy or gas prices. Their focus list is impeachment, open borders, abortion, higher taxes, and DEI.

What if the $15.5 BILLION dollars California spent on high speed rail had gone towards schools, hospitals, or the arts? Just imagine.

Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning. Your name is Bob. You’re a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. You’ve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor. You’re a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again. You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldn’t have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid. Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can’t find qualified Americans. Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview. On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs. You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up. Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+. At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart. You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least we’re stopping their nuclear bomb. You weren’t even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March. After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people aren’t speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. You’re forced to leave early after a “teen takeover” turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail. Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent. Your son grows upset. You change the channel. Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. They’d rather play videogames in their parents’ basements than work. Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV. Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousin’s family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight they’re celebrating his nephew’s birth, the family’s first birthright American citizen. You sit alone in your living room. You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you. Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war. And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck he’s even supposed to do with his life now. Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem. For ten years, they told you America’s future depended on your vote. Now you aren’t even sure America has a future worth defending. The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning: You’ve spent a decade demanding Bob’s loyalty. You’ve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but can’t find work. And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist. What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?

Anyone telling you the only reason Democrats won the midterms is because they cheated is lying to you. Anyone telling you this is the end of the world is also lying to you. For Democrats, Trump winning in 2024 was the end of the world too, but it obviously wasn’t. Don’t fall for it. These narratives are the reason America is so divided. They’re the reason common sense lost at the ballot box too. The sooner you stop listening to the talking points of lying children who hate you, the sooner we can course correct. Please take the time you need to reflect on what’s actually happening instead of chasing excuses and catastrophizing. That drama is the disease slowly eating away at the bones of this country. I’m going to help. Lots of people are. Not all of us are willing to resign ourselves to civil war, the fall of western civilization, or heartless authoritarian socialist hell. We have work to do, and we’re going to do it. That’s it. No different than any other time or any other day.

Long one: So I’ll admit I’ve been venting the fast few days about my frustrations with Trump It’s been healing for me I saw this coming ever since he started with the tariffs. Then it was mistake after mistake after mistake Lies Corruption Tariffs Iran War. Enriching himself, family, and his buddies. The past two years have been an unmitigated disaster. I’ve always been with the GOP. Fiscally conservative and socially liberal. MAGA never aligned with my values. The liberals don’t either but this is the hand we’ve been dealt. I guess my largest frustration with Trump was he had a golden opportunity when elected to make this country better and he blew it. That being said, I’ll get back to posting finance now. I seriously apologize if I offended anyone but I’m angry because as a GOP supporter I think Trump has left the party in shambles. I love all of you that support me on here more than you know. Thank you for tolerating my frustration. Cheers QE

What an absolutely galling analysis from @JDVance. Where does one even start? The Vice President tells us: “The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel” In reality, J.D., all you need is #3. It covers the others entirely, and a few you missed. And yet you have it 3rd! Why? Because you apparently needed a pollster to explain that betraying the coalition that elected you was going to piss them off. The issues you’re missing include: the breathtaking corruption of your administration, covering up for the Epstein class, failure to deliver on MAHA and failure to properly investigate notorious political crimes. Putting America first is all you had to do. If your administration had done that, you’d have been in great shape. Having failed to do it, no amount of clever rhetoric and rallies could possibly have saved you. And whatever they’re telling you, J.D., the people who showed up and put you in office in ‘24 did not suddenly vote for race-bating Marxists in ‘26. You are the Vice President. This is not inherently your fault, but it becomes your fault if you keep playing along.

American politics is an infinite revolving door: Democrats get power, does something absolutely retarded, lose to Republicans Republicans get power, has no idea what to do, gaslights you, lose to Democrats You really wonder how anything even gets done in this country

The betrayals of the Trump administration: • Iran War • Withholding Epstein files • Liability protection for glyphosate • More pesticides • mRNA flu shots • New Covid boosters • Tariffs paid by consumers, rebated to corporations • More gov. spending. What would you add?

DSA candidate Tim Denson tries to sell the crowd on “democratizing the workplace” and says Walmart should belong to the workers. Big mistake. The guy 6 ft away from him grew up in Venezuela. And he’s heard this communist fairy tale before. DANIEL DI MARTINO: “So you want to take it [Walmart] from its owners and have the workers do what?” TIM DENSON: “I want the workers to own it and get paid better and have better benefits and be able to provide better lives for their families.” DI MARTINO: “We can buy shares in Walmart right now. In fact, all of the SpaceX workers became millionaires overnight.” “You can start a workers’ cooperative right now. It’s legal, but under a socialist country, you’re not allowed to own your own property and start your own private corporation.” Denson tried to refute Di Martino’s point. Then Di Martino dropped this line on him: DI MARTINO: “It’s very easy to be a socialist in a capitalist country. It’s illegal to be a capitalist in a socialist country. That is the difference.” [audience applause] Then it got personal: DI MARTINO: “When I had to go to the grocery store, Tim, I had to put my fingerprint in a scanning machine so that they would tell me what I was allowed to purchase.” “And I could only go Mondays and Saturdays because we have to ration food, because that’s what happens when there’s no profit motive and the farmers, their food is confiscated because they had to sell it to the government and everybody else at the price the government tells the farmers.” “My mom made chocolate bonbons for parties.” “Well, people have a right to chocolate, so we had a price control on chocolate.” “So my mom had to buy counterfeit chocolate, put it in black bags as if we were cocaine drug dealers. That’s what socialism was in Venezuela. That’s what worker ownership of the means of production is.” “Where has it ever worked?” Denson had no answer. Because there isn’t one.

This is the most economically illiterate tweet I’ve ever seen. Public debt is, by definition, the result of government—not the private sector.
