We’re planning another USA trip this fall!🇺🇸
It’s going to be a road trip with college football as the main focus, but we’re also planning to check out plenty of other sports and unique American events.
The idea for this trip actually came from our visits to a few colleges on the last trip. Everyone told us how crazy it gets on gamedays, so now we want to experience it ourselves.
Now we need your expertise: Which colleges should we visit? What games are interesting? And what other events or activities (also non sporting related) are worth checking out in September/October?
So far we have these on our list:
- Oktoberfest in Helen, GA
- Texas State Fair
- Breeders' Cup in Kentucky
One of the best promo campaigns of the Saban era.
At some places they play football, at Alabama, WE LIVE IT. #RollTide

Three years ago today Grant Nelson announced his commitment to @AlabamaMBB on June 28, 2023, and the 6-11 North Dakota native became a Gump for life.
During his two years under @nate_oats, Nelson played in 74 games, averaged 11.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks and helped lead the Crimson Tide to back-to-back Elite Eights and its first Final Four appearance.
After Charles Barkley called the 2024 Alabama team “frail” and picked No. 1-seed North Carolina to beat the Crimson Tide in the Sweet Sixteen, Nelson responded with 24 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks to lead his team on its Final Four run.
Not a good look Barn.

Awesome new feature from @AlabamaFTBL that begins with former Butkus winner Reuben Foster.
The hardest-hitting linebacker in the Saban-era, without a doubt.

“Everybody would just remember me as the guy who took all this money and went to Miami or Tennessee for his last year. But I was a captain. I put my hand and footprints in the cement at Denny Chimes. I would have lost everything that I built at Alabama.” — Ty Simpson
NEW: Massive NIL offers from other schools couldn't delay Ty Simpson's NFL dreams, he tells @Clowfb🙏
Tennessee, Miami and Ole Miss were offering $4M, and the Hurricanes upped it to $6.5M
“Miami was kind of like, ‘All right, we’re moving on,’ and then they lost out on Sam Leavitt and came back with that big number,” Simpson said. “And then Ole Miss called again and said they could match it.”
