Updated US Open Cup storylines:
The only team to keep St. Louis City scoreless in months is Vancouver this past Wednesday. If the Crew are to win the US Open Cup, our coaches would do best to study a bit of that defensive structure.
Recent run of form for both teams:
St. Louis (#2 Western Conference)
W - Toronto (#11 Eastern Conference)
W - RBNY (#8 Eastern Conference)
W - LA Galaxy (#8 Western Conference)
D - Vancouver (#1 Western Conference)
12 goals for / 3 goals against
Columbus (#13 Eastern Conference)
W - Montreal (#15 Eastern Conference)
W - Inter Miami (#2 Eastern Conference)
L - Orlando City (#7 Eastern Conference)
W - Charlotte (#5 Eastern Conference)
9 goals for / 5 goals against
Make sure you are at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field when the Cup is won! 🏆
Storylines for US Open Cup Final include matchups of Crew (and Crew 2) Champions:
Laurent Courtois faces former Crew Coaching Staff:
Yoann Damet (‘23-‘25)
Issa Tall faces former Crew GM staff:
Corey Wray (‘20-‘24)
Former Crew player returns:
Alexandru Mățan (‘21-‘24) - he scored a hat trick for the Black and Gold in one of his last games in 2024.
We plan to be much better.
Mad props to @ColoradoRapids for allowing STL supporters instruments for their USOC match.
@ColumbusCrew … be better. Highly disappointed

“We tried to put in a structure where they can express their best individual quality and where we are solid defensively, too. [Last night] they did both and it was great.”
