One of the many reasons Europe will fall behind on AI and supercomputing infrastructure: - used green alarmism to offshore energy dependency to Russia and Qatar, spent hundreds of billions on state subsidized ‘renewables’ made in China that fail to provide baseload power. - now euro households spend way too much for basic heat and air conditioning and cooking - and the Chinese - who massively expanded global emissions by more than the Europeans reduced it - lead Europe on low cost energy outcomes in manufacturing and computing power. Europe has resources but green alarmist ideology has made the entire continent poorer and more dependent on Russia, Qatar, and China.
Climate policies have consequences EU pays 1.9x US prices and 3x China and India UK has the costliest electricity in the world iea.org/data-and-statistics/…

11, 12 and 14 years old Raped for days by more than 20 Pakistani immigrants. Tortured—one had her tongue nailed to the wall to keep her still while they raped her. The police ridiculed, insulted, and ignored them. The feminists turned the other way. If it hadn't been for Elon Musk, who publicly shared the trial testimonies, sparking outrage from Reform UK and internal investigations, no one would have known anything. You're not angry enough.

🚨 Two budget watchdogs. Same warning. Part 2 🚨 Sept 2025. Interim PBO Jason Jacques at committee: "If you don't change, this is done." Then came Carney's first budget. Jacques' verdict: "The Government's new anchor is unlikely to hold." The odds it holds? 7.5%. He found $94 billion counted as "investment" that doesn't meet the PBO's own definition. He called it "a made-in-Ottawa definition of capital." And the debt anchor Carney confirmed in September? "Abandoned six weeks later." His term ran out. Annette Ryan got the permanent job. Oct 2026. New watchdog. Same story. Interest on the debt: about $25B a year five years ago. $59B now. More than the Canada Health Transfer for the first time. Headed to $83B. "The fastest growing piece of government spending right now." $333B in new deficits over five years. $733B in new borrowing. $400B going to Crown corps, loans and special funds "just a step removed from parliamentary oversight." And those fiscal anchors? "More like traffic lights." Two watchdogs. Two years. Same message. Stop spending like the bill never comes 🤦🏻‍♂️ Ottawa math, eh? 🇨🇦

Full interview where CBC introduced Camosun instructor Daniel Reeve as a neutral political science expert to analyze BC’s new Conservative premier Lorne Doerkson. What they left out: Reeve is a former NDP candidate who worked as a ministerial aide under an NDP government Here’s the “non-partisan” analysis: He opens by calling Doerkson’s tone “humble” and “sincere,” then immediately undercuts the majority: more than half of voters didn’t support him, so the numbers “don’t quite back that up.” Classic framing of a Conservative win as less legitimate than the seat count On the campaign, he contrasts Eby’s Trump-focused pitch with the Conservatives actually talking about the deficit, emergency care, and the economy—implying the NDP missed the mark while the right read the room Then the money quote on Doerkson’s plan: they’ll walk through the budget, declare “it’s worse than we thought,” and impose “a whole bunch of cuts so that we don’t raise taxes and so that we don’t cut health care.” This, he says, is the message meant to “hold that center right to kind of far right coalition together and also kind of pin the problems of his government on the past.” He later describes Carney as closer to the NDP on fiscal questions, notes the provincial NDP had shifted toward the center, and flags energy/forestry expansion as creating problems with DRIPA and Indigenous consent. On the snap election, he relays an “NDP kind of leaning supporter” who refused to “walk across hot coals” to vote NDP, frames Eby’s call as “here’s the fire. Follow me,” and points to 200,000 previous NDP voters who stayed home All of it delivered as dispassionate academic insight from a former NDP candidate and government aide. Disclosure by CBC was apparently optional. This is not journalism @CBCOmbud
CBC platformed Camosun political science instructor Daniel Reeve to analyze Premier-designate Lorne Doerkson and somehow forgot to mention the tiny detail that Reeve himself ran as an NDP candidate (and worked as a ministerial aide to NDP Health Minister Corky Evans) Here’s the “neutral expert” take they ran: “I thought one of the things that jumped out to me is that they are going to go that one of the first things that the premier elect suggested is a financial basically walking through of the budget. And I think that from that analysis, they're going to say, oh, my God, it's worse than we thought. And now we're going to have to impose a whole bunch of cuts so that we don't raise taxes and so that we don't cut health care. And that. That's going to be the financial message that's going to hopefully, from his perspective, hold that center right to kind of far right coalition together and also kind of pin the problems of his government on the past.” Just another dispassionate academic, right? The same lifelong NDP activist who spent years organizing campaigns and working inside an NDP government is now on the public broadcaster framing the new Conservative government as a cynical cut-and-blame operation aimed at “center-right to far-right” voters. Disclosure optional, apparently CBC’s mountain of omissions continues @CBCOmbud @BrodieFenlon

Breaking: Canadians pay too much income tax. 🙄 Anyone with a paycheque could've told you that for free. New international tax index: Canada ranks 28th of 38 countries on personal income taxes. 34th on capital gains and dividends. 📉 Ontario's top rate hits 53.5%. It kicks in at 2.8x the average wage. In the U.S.? 8.7x. Carney's big fix was one point off the bottom bracket. Then Ottawa scratches its head over why talent keeps heading south. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Basic math, eh? 🇨🇦

THE ECONOMICS WAB KINEW NDP WOULD RATHER IGNORE Wab Kinew has apparently discovered a remarkable economic principle. If housing becomes too expensive, simply order landlords to charge less. Problem solved. Apparently. Except economics doesn’t work that way. His 40% announcement doesn’t mean rents are falling 40%. It means landlords will be allowed to recover less of certain capital expenses through above-guideline rent increases. The roofs still need replacing. Boilers still break down. Property taxes, insurance, financing and labour still cost money. Government can restrict what landlords recover. It cannot legislate those expenses out of existence. Now apply a little Thomas Sowell reasoning: What happens next? And who pays the price? When government reduces the financial incentive to maintain and invest in rental properties, owners have choices. They can postpone improvements, sell their properties, convert units to other uses or invest their money somewhere else. Tenants protected by rent controls may benefit today. But what about young people looking for their first apartment? Families moving to Winnipeg? Renters trying to find a better home? A 2019 study published in the American Economic Review found that rent control in San Francisco reduced rental housing supply by 15% among affected landlords. The existing tenants benefited, but the supply reduction created costs for future renters. Different jurisdiction, but an economic warning Manitoba should take seriously. You cannot solve a housing shortage by discouraging the people who provide housing. If Kinew genuinely wants affordable housing, he should focus on increasing supply, reducing construction costs, removing unnecessary barriers and encouraging investment. Competition puts downward pressure on prices. Scarcity pushes them upward. Kinew gets his political headline today. The renters who struggle to find an apartment tomorrow won’t be standing beside him at the press conference. The first lesson of economics is scarcity. The first lesson of politics seems to be pretending scarcity can be abolished by regulation. 🤡🌎

They keep telling you Canada is at "war" with America. Investigative journalist Sam Cooper (author of Willful Blindness, founder of The Bureau) says that's exactly backwards — and he has the documents to prove it. In this episode, Sam breaks down Mark Carney's 100+ undisclosed conflicts of interest, the TD Bank fentanyl money-laundering scandal, China's bond purchases quietly flowing through Canadian banks, the BC Ferries deal with a Chinese shipbuilder near sensitive coastal waters, and why CSIS says Beijing is actively targeting Canadian First Nations leaders. If you've been told "elbows up" against America, this conversation will change how you see the real hybrid war being fought on Canadian soil. @scoopercooper
