Very excited to see Spatial-ATAC-Hi-C published in @NatureMethods! Thanks to @yuefeng_1 for leading this effort. It jointly maps 3D genome organization and chromatin accessibility in tissues, revealing spatial epigenetic heterogeneity, CNV, and structural variations in tumor! 🥳
Excited to share Spatial-ATAC-Hi-C @naturemethods, spatial profiling of 3D genome organization + chromatin accessibility in tissue. Excitingly, it detects CNVs and SVs in tumors and reveals spatial heterogeneity.
Great collaboration with @RongFan8.

Thank you Steve for highlighting our work! Especially proud of this project, 4 years in the making. Hope we begin to appreciate that senescent-like cells exist in diverse states w/ distinct functions in human tissues. Just the beginning, with much more to explore! Many thanks 🥰

‘Milestone’ research method measures gene activity across whole mice | Science | AAAS | Chevrier says the method could reveal how various organs respond to a particular medicine, and thus aid in development of new treatments. According to @RongFan8 the study results demonstrate “exactly what this platform uniquely enables—capturing coordinated, whole-body–wide responses across multiple organs and cell types in a single experiment.” @ScienceMagazine science.org/content/article/…

We were told NIH funding cuts were about eliminating DEI.
But the data now shows grants are down across nearly every field of medicine: cancer, diabetes, mental health, brain disorders.
With the greatest cuts hitting Alzheimer’s research, down more than 50%.
