NVIDIA JUST TURNED YOUR CODING AGENT INTO A VIDEO ANALYST
Hours of footage are a black hole.
You've got live streams and libraries of video, and the thing you need is buried somewhere in the middle.
So you scrub timelines by hand, or you build a brittle pipeline that only answers the one question you trained it for.
Either way, the moment the question changes, you start over.
NVIDIA's Metropolis Blueprint for video search and summarization (VSS 3) changes that.
How it works:
> Point it at live streams or a library of videos
> Ask in plain language — search, summarize, alert, report
> Your coding agent runs the right skill across the footage
> Get the answer back, no manual scrubbing
The interesting part is that VSS 3 ships 16 new agent skills.
Video stops being a file you watch and becomes something you query. One natural-language prompt, and your agent does the searching, summarizing, and alerting for you.

PAPER JUST TURNED YOUR CANVAS INTO A PROMPT LIBRARY
AI image gen makes you retype the same prompt forever.
You finally dial in a look — the color, the mood, the lighting — and the next time you want it, you're typing it all out again from memory.
So your best prompts live in a notes file, or nowhere, and every generation starts from scratch.
Paper takes a different path.
How it works:
> Write prompt fragments as text anywhere on your canvas
> Select the text layers you want
> Hit image gen — Paper folds that text into your prompt
> Generate, with your preset baked in
The interesting part is that there's no separate preset manager to learn.
A preset is just text on the canvas. Save colors, moods, lightings as their own little blocks, then mix and match them by selecting the ones you want for this shot.
Your prompts become reusable design objects, sitting right next to the work.

THIS TOOL TURNS YOUR STATIC DESIGNS INTO MOTION IN UNDER A MINUTE
Flat PNGs die in a video feed.
It's not that the design is bad. It's that static stops the eye for a fraction of a second, then the thumb keeps moving.
In a feed built for motion, a still image reads as something to scroll past, so your best work gets the least attention.
animos exists to fix that.
How it works:
> Drop your design (image or video) into a ready-made motion template
> Tweak it to fit
> Export to MP4 or WebM, all in the browser
> The whole thing takes under a minute
The interesting choice here is the template approach. Instead of asking you to direct an animation from scratch, animos starts you on a pre-built motion design and drops your work into it.
That's the trade: less control over the motion itself, but you go from static asset to a scroll-stopping clip without opening After Effects or learning a timeline.
It also lives entirely in the browser, so there's nothing to install and no render queue to wait on.

THIS PLUGIN ALLOWS YOU TO ANIMATE FIGMA DESIGNS WITH AI
AI animation tools mostly hand you a finished clip and walk away.
You type a prompt, get a render, and the moment something's off (the timing, an easing curve, one layer moving wrong) you're stuck. The output is a black box, so your only move is to reroll and hope. Great for a demo, useless for real production work.
Magic Animator 3.0 (Beta) takes a different path.
How it works:
> Select your designs in Figma
> Write a prompt (or hit brainstorm for ideas with no prompt at all)
> It reads the context of your file and animates the relevant layers as directed
> Run multiple generations in parallel, then export to Lottie, GIF, MP4 and more
The part that matters is what you get back. It mirrors your Figma layers and generates editable keyframes, presets, and properties, not a flattened video. You drop into a full motion editor and adjust the actual inner workings of the animation, so the AI gives you a starting point instead of a final answer.
This is also the feature people had been asking for since launch. The earlier betas were one-click generators (select a frame, get a few options), but you couldn't direct them.
Prompting closes that gap: you can now say what you want and still keep your hands on every keyframe afterward.
The plugin is free to try.

HEYGEN JUST FLIPPED HOW VIDEOS GET CUT TO MUSIC
Most editors build the video first, then wrestle the music to fit.
You cut your scenes, drop a track on top, and spend the next hour nudging clips a few frames at a time so the hits land on the beat. The rhythm is the thing people actually feel, and it's the part you're forced to fake last.
HeyGen's new HyperFrames skill inverts that.
How it works:
> Install the skill (npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes)
> Hand your agent a song
> Ask for a video
> It reads the beat and builds the whole composition around it
The interesting part is that this isn't a filter slapped on a finished cut. The track becomes the input that drives pacing, so scene length, cuts, and transitions get planned against the energy of the music from the start. The beat is the skeleton, not the afterthought.
It's a composition layer, not a media generator. You bring the song and the footage, it brings the timeline, the animation, and the render (all from HTML, runnable by any coding agent).

RUNWAY JUST KILLED THE LOCALIZATION BOTTLENECK
Most brands shoot one ad, then watch it die at the border.
Every new market means a reshoot, a new edit, or a translation pass that mangles the layout. So global campaigns either move slow or ship in English and hope.
Runway's new localization changes the math.
How it works:
> Input a single ad image
> Pick your target markets
> Get a localized version for each one
> One click, every language out
The interesting part isn't translation, it's that the image itself gets rebuilt. Text in the creative, not just a caption underneath. One asset becomes a regional set without a designer touching it.
Localization has always been the tax you pay to go global. Agencies charge per market, timelines stretch, and small teams just skip it. Runway turns a multi-week, multi-vendor process into a dropdown.
Small brands now ship to 30 markets on day one (the same as the giants).
