As a result of exploring ways to take forward CEFAW’s work in the US, we’re delighted that a collaboration between @BeCreatureKind, @NRPEorg, and @CreationJustice led to an @alliancebaptist statement on Christian Ethics and Animal Agriculture, linked here: allianceofbaptists.org/state…
💒🌿 The roots of the environmental justice movement start with the church. Inspired by faith, leaders like Rev. Ben Chavis and Rep. McEachin have fought against environmental injustices. It's time to protect people and the planet! @crcjustice #EJ4AllAct dojustice.crcna.org/article/…
Last week, over fifty faith leaders from Wisconsin and Illinois gathered at Holy Wisdom Monastery for our Pastoring for Healing and Justice in a Climate Crisis retreat! Check out photos from our gathering, co-presented with @faithinplace @acc_climate & @GarrettSeminary!

We need to make the transition to clean energy as quickly as possible for God’s creation, but @POTUS is reportedly considering a #DirtyDeal that would lock in more fossil fuels. Keep fossil fuel handouts out of the debt ceiling deal! @POTUS, @ShalandaYoung46, & @SRicchetti46
Big Oil-backed politicians want to silence our voices, lock us into fossil fuels, & take away critical climate funding & investments for God’s creation. @POTUS, @ShalandaYoung46, & @SRicchetti46 please stand strong & reject a #DirtyDeal & #DefaultOnAmerica Act.
A compromise that sacrifices God’s people and planet, and rubber stamps fossil fuel projects is no compromise at all. @POTUS @ShalandaYoung46, & @SRicchetti46 - focus on solutions that put #PeopleOverPolluters.
Our policy advocate, Helen Smith and her ocean workgroup co-lead standing on the steps of the capital during the first fly-in for the America the Beautiful 4 All Coalition. A great week of meetings, panels and connecting in person!
We had a great time together at our first in-person board meeting in years! Thank you to Sophia Seminary and Farms for hosting us in Petersburg, VA!
Excerpt prayer from our service:
“God of seed-time and harvest….For communities hungry because of flood, fire or drought, and for governments who struggle to provide for them…
Lord, hear our prayer.”
