🇮🇳INDIANS vs 🇬🇧BRITISH (Narendra Modi's silent surrender?) Brahmagupta (628 CE), Bhāskara II (≈1150 CE), and Kṛṣṇa Daivajña (≈1575 CE) all described negative numbers by oppositeness relative to positive numbers. Then, Mahīdhara (1635 CE), Rāmakṛṣṇa Daivajña (1687 CE) continued the symmetric Indian tradition of positives and negatives as equal-and-opposite quantities. It's natural! If right is positive, left is negative. They’re equal & opposite. Turn around 180°, left becomes right, negative becomes positive, & vice-versa! Time has opposites as well. If 100 BCE is negative, 100 CE is positive. Owning money (an asset) is positive. Owing money (a debt) is negative. As opposites one person's debt is another person's asset. In physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction and any quantity of matter or energy less than zero is impossible. In direction, time, wealth, physics, (& reality) negatives are just the equal-and-opposite partner of positives. WHAT HAPPENED? Indian Knowledge Systems (#IKS) came under attack with the growing power of the 🇬🇧 British East India Company after the Battle of Plassey (1757) and the formal establishment of the British Raj in 1858. The nonsense notion negative numbers are "less than zero" entered India through British colonial textbooks printed in the 1820s, through the Calcutta School-Book Society, the Baptist Mission Press, the College of Fort William in Calcutta, and the Bombay Native Education Society. The forced introduction of British colonial textbooks marked the historical turning point where India's own intuitive, (empirical via astronomy) symmetric, zero-based model of positive and negative quantities was replaced in schools by the British nonsense of numbers "less than zero". 😢 British Brainwashing & Gaslighting Under colonial rule and British brainwashing, leading up to Lord Macaulay’s 1835 Minute*, in which he dismissed Indian knowledge systems as obsolete, authorities suppressed India's own superior maths in classrooms. Negative numbers were no longer the symmetric equal of positive numbers. Children were forced to believe quantities could be less than nothing, that negative numbers were less than zero, and zero was no longer the smallest number! 😢 Modi's Bureacratic Barrier A return to traditional Bharatiya Maths has been promised since 2014. Yet, as much as he might call for change, has Narendra Modi's vision been broken by bureaucrats? Are children being taught Indian maths? Is #NEP2020 just a coat of saffron paint to hide the inferior maths the British forced on India? India ranked 72nd out of 73 countries in maths (beating only Kyrgyzstan). So, has Narendra Modi decolonised India's maths education? Let's check. 🇬🇧 Rule, Britannia! The aftermath of British rule is British rules remain! In a recent Class 6 Textbook "So you see we need to use a sign going for numbers less than zero. The sign that is used is the placement of a minus sign attached to the number. This indicates that numbers with a negative sign are less than zero. These are called negative numbers." In a 2026-27 Class 6 Textbook "Smaller numbers are now to the left of bigger numbers and bigger numbers are to the right of smaller numbers. So, 2 < 5; –3 < 2; and –5 < –3." ⬆️THIS IS NOT INDIAN MATHS⬆️ 5 negatives are more than 3 negatives just as a depth of 5 is deeper than a depth of 3 and a debt of ₹5 Lakh is greater than a debt of ₹3 Lakh. From 🇮🇳 628 CE on, when larger is subtracted from lesser, the answer's sign changes. In ⁻5 – ⁻3 = ⁻2 the sign of the answer is the same so ⁻3 is OBVIOUSLY not larger than ⁻5. Now look at ⁻3 – ⁻5 = ⁺2. The sign of the answer has changed, so ⁻5 is GREATER than ⁻3. Is NCERT Smarter Than Brahmagupta? अधिकम् ऊनात् व्यस्तं तदन्तरं स्यात् ऋणं धनं धनं ऋणं भवति "If a larger negative or positive is to be subtracted from a smaller negative or positive, the sign of their difference is reversed, negative becomes positive and positive negative." #SS3 Despite Narendra Modi's promises to revive Indian Knowledge Systems, NCERT still insists on forcing obsolete British Raj nonsense into the minds of innocent Indian children. In an NCERT Class 9 Textbook we read "The product of two debts is a fortune" Q. What is crazier? ₹3 debt × ₹4 debt = ₹12 debts² or ₹3 debt × ₹4 debt = ₹12 fortune? A. They are both crazy! 🤪 Why must NCERT teach nonsense before saying a debt subtracted is positive? I met Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to hand him a petition calling for a return to India's original superior Bharatiya Maths signed by 9,417 Indians. I offered NCERT all my decades of research to help improve India's maths education yet have never received any response. Names like Baudhayana, Aryabhata & Brahmagupta appearing in NCERT textbooks is nice. Yet they will only ever be a 🇬🇧#FalseFlag if all the core ideas of maths are silently surrendered to remain colonial relics of the British Raj. An Aussie🦘(me) seems to care more about restoring India's Vishwaguru (world teacher) role in maths than any politician or bureaucrat in India. What a strange world! This has been a long post, so thank you so much for reading it. I would be honoured if you gave it a like or shared it with your followers. 🔂 Jai Hind! Jonathan J. Crabtree Melbourne Australia @jcrabtree P.S. If you care, please share because we must not let this Silent Surrender under Narendra Modi continue!
🌺BrahmaGupta - The real father of Mathematics.🌺 Brahmagupta, whose father was Jisnugupta, wrote important works on mathematics and astronomy. In particular he wrote Brahmasphutasiddhanta, in 628.

A 10-year-old girl, Tanishka Sharma, died under mysterious circumstances at Presidium School, Noida. No FIR for 15 days. No CCTV for 2 months. And now the school says the cameras “weren’t working.” Something is clearly wrong. Her mother has already lost her husband. Now she’s fighting alone to know what happened to her daughter. Justice is her right, not a favour. I request @myogioffice, @noidapolice @Uppolice intervene. And I urge @aajtak , @republic @BBCHindi , @ABPNews to cover this case so this mother’s voice is finally heard. For Context- youtu.be/s8CHBpKgqus?si=zDN1…

this is why you think open source models aren't good on the left is the average provider, on the right is opencode zen left is slow, vomits out tool call parse failures, confuses itself and takes 5x longer to complete

10% drop in mileage = you spend 11.1% more per km... So in another way petrol price is... 111/L @ 10% drop in mileage 118/L @ 15% drop 125/L @ 20% drop Ethanol blending is LOOT. They’ve effectively hiked petrol prices without changing the numbers on the board.

Lots of excitement about GPT-5 in Codex CLI via your ChatGPT plan. Some details: 1. Yes, if you sign in with ChatGPT, usage is included via your paid plan! 2. Still determining exact rate limits, but the goal is to be generous: -- Pro users should basically not hit limits unless they're scripting or running many agents in parallel. -- Plus & Team users should be able to log a handful of 1-2h coding sessions each week. -- Ent coming soon. -- Rate limits reset every 5h, and there's a weekly total limit too. -- If you hit limits sooner than expected given the above, reach out to help us tune the limits. 3. Issues people are hitting: -- People are consuming limits faster than expected. We've landed a mitigation so do try again. -- If you're an existing Codex CLI user running into issues with your ChatGPT plan, you can reset with /logout. -- Still sorting out compute for Europe. Hopefully you're sleeping, or you can VPN to USA. Should be fixed by the time you wake up. 4. DMs open for feedback

yep. recommend using the default options which work better: - `codex` - or `codex -s workspace-write -a on-request`
hold up nah wait is that a banger? i can run gpt-5 via chatgpt login in codex cli? 😯

Far bigger than coding - a software engineer's job is to explain to the stakeholders, the pros and cons of doing or not doing something. This is something AI cannot do. As no one can understand context + emotion better than a human

My AI coding game improved by leaps and bounds when I started a. dividing my tasks logically using Claude b. providing iron clad instructions which does not allow claude freedom to make mess. After a while you realize, Prompt engineering is overrated.

SDEs are scared about AI replacing the Software developers. Well anyone who worked with AI development knows that it is not possible in the current setup AI needs a lot of handholding. Even if you have another AI take decision, human intervention is must. And the best part is, Clients are generally not sure what they want. AI cannot possibly extract this information. It takes a skilled developer to do that part. Best investment you can do right now is, learn how to use AI to develop software. You will be invaluable in a years time.
