They’re getting cooked in the comments.
We remove reviews that violate our policies, and hosts can't delete them. Only guests who actually booked the stay can leave one. Ratings on Airbnb skew high partly because we remove listings that fall short of guest expectations.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Hosts cannot directly delete reviews but can dispute guest ones for alleged violations, often succeeding per policy and user reports of removals despite compliance or refunds. airbnb.com/help/article/3… airbnb.com/help/article/2… elliott.org/advocacy/airbn… x.com/JackEllis/stat… x.com/shiju_thomas/s…

>10 seems like a lot of percent
Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.

Weird that every time I use ChatGPT to win an argument against my wife it’s always right but when she uses it against me it’s always wrong.

Exactly this
In my 8 years in crypto, I’ve never seen such dissonance between the headlines and the sentiment. Everything we once dreamed of is happening, yet it somehow feels… over.

Hot take: cheating on your barber is almost as bad as cheating on your wife.

Long solo drives are usually pretty draining, but with @Tesla FSD they’re surprisingly meditative.

Thinking about shifting your career into crypto? Here’s the #1 reason to go for it: liquidity. In most Web2 tech startups, you’ll grind for 4-8 years before you even get a shot at turning your stock into cash. In crypto, you can join a pre-TGE startup (before a token launch), see the real market value soon after, and have the chance to liquidate once you hit your 1-year lockup. I joined @SuiFoundation in March 2023, knew the market value of my equity (tokens) two months later, and had my first opportunity to liquidate twelve months after that. 48-96 months vs. 12-18 months. Take your pick.

The TL that I used to love has been replaced by AZN thirst traps, crypto bros, and tweets that start with “dear algo”… What gives?

In my adult life, I’ve tried to maximize three things: health, relationships, and money. I’ve managed to hit two at a time, but never all three. Mad respect to anyone who can maintain the full set.

Life on the crypto conference circuit is fun, but my favorite part is coming home to my wife and daughter’s warm embrace.❤️
