I am VERY interested to hear an update about the whole "outsourcing a document that's been in the works for years to an outside contractor for fifteen day revision" policy. Would someone in the DOE condescend to explain or clarify this?

I'm gobsmacked. Over 5,000 Virginians worked on the original proposal, I got pulled in at the very last moment (in hopes of some kind of rubber stamp?) & then when I expressed my misgivings, *I* ended up cited at the public meeting as a consultant? Something is deeply wrong here.

(4/4) I need an immediate public retraction of this statement, and will certainly consider taking legal action if this is not done.

Unfortunately powerful people are already trying to rehabilitate police and give them even more money, so we need to say, again, that what happened in Uvalde wasn't police failing. It was the outcome of us relying on cops to keep us safe when that is not their purpose. 🧵

I thought Covid would kill the program, but they practiced online every week during quarantine, made our first trip to nationals & got – at Atlanta, GA
