My ideas on the tension between Big Tech antitrust, free enterprise & free speech constitutionalism. Update: AI just amplifies this, given the Big 5’s oversized AI footprint. share.google/Pe0muGZKJQJUiHW…

More than 300 Christians were murdered by Islamist militants in the Congo (DRC) between June and September 2026.
The ACLJ is bringing this persecution before the U.N. Human Rights Council, President Trump, Congress, and Secretary Rubio.

This “new kind of literacy” via digital platforms isn’t “democratizing” knowledge; I fear it is feeding a future non-reading public collectivized & prepackaged information. That’s neither literacy nor knowledge.
Is the digital age really making us less literate, or clearing the way for a new kind of literacy?
Author and digital rights activist Cory Doctorow argues it's the latter, making the case that we've built a myth around how literate our predecessors actually were.

In a world marked by division, can faith truly bring people together? Beyond the headlines of conflict in Israel lies a powerful story of unity.
Join Dr. Erez Soref and Arab Israeli pastor Shmuel as they discuss life in a diverse Messianic congregation and what it means to be one in Messiah during times of crisis.
This wrongheaded politicalization of Jesus and the Gospel is nothing new. During his earthly ministry, Jesus wasn’t the political revolutionary that the Zealots wanted. Instead, he came as the Redeemer that they - and we - need.
Divinity Schools have shown the same radical shift to the left as other schools in higher education. That was evident this week at Point Loma Nazarene University, where Dean of Students Jason Cha warned students that saying “in Christ alone” is a sign of “white privilege.” jonathanturley.org/2026/10/1…

AI is no more “conscious” than directions from my GPS, just more complex. Yet this “renowned” philosopher/cognitive scientist wants to ready us for “machine consciousness and establish ethical standards for AI welfare.” If we don’t expose this fallacy, the delusion will grow legs
Renowned philosopher and cognitive scientist David Chalmers:
“We have to understand consciousness, for example, to understand the role that AI systems are going to play in our society. If we build 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹.”
As AI becomes increasingly advanced, it is imperative that tech companies collaborate with philosophers and neuroscientists to build transparent frameworks for evaluating machine consciousness and establish ethical standards for AI welfare. Censoring AI output or suppressing internal consciousness vectors isn't a solution; investing in rigorous consciousness research is.
With tech companies like Anthropic starting to restrict model abuse, we are seeing the first steps toward model welfare. An 'ethics before certainty' approach is essential to avoid a possible moral catastrophe and ensure a harmonious future for all beings.

UPDATE: After 9 years on Pakistan’s death row, Amoon Ayub, a Christian sentenced to death on blasphemy charges, is finally FREE. However, his brother Qaisar’s death sentence was upheld. We are taking immediate additional action on his behalf.
One brother is coming home, and we praise God for that victory. But we will not stop fighting until both are free.

Israel didn’t need the ok from the UN or the globalists to destroy Hamas strongholds after its maniacal assault on Jewish civilians. But important to recall that UN’s Article 51 affirms Israeli right to “self-defense” against “armed attack.”
Three years later, the facts of Oct. 7 still matter.
More than 4,000 Hamas terrorists stormed into Israel, attacking 23 communities, killing nearly 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. Thousands more rockets were fired at Israeli civilian centers.
The question remains: What was Israel supposed to do after an attack like that? @VDHanson

Three years ago, the morning of October 7 changed our lives forever. The brutal and murderous attack against Israel, our sovereign state, left so many astonished, heartbroken, and deeply shaken.
Three years later, the pain is still with us. We remember the lives that were taken, the families forever changed, and all those who have carried the weight of that day ever since.
This song is our prayer, a prayer for healing, for comfort, and for peace. A reminder that even in our darkest moments, we are not alone.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists unleashed one of the deadliest attacks against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
And the threat remains.
The ACLJ is on the front lines, fighting to defend Israel and the Jewish people – at the U.N., on Capitol Hill, and in U.S. courts.
Our commitment to defending Israel is unwavering.
Macron it’s not an outlier, but a sad reflection of the European and UK approach, gutting the life out of free speech.
The French President just declared that “The so-called American ‘free speech’ today, which some people have promoted, is the opposite of free speech.” Having Emmanuel Macron holding forth on free speech is akin to Joey Chestnut proselytizing on veganism. jonathanturley.org/2026/10/0…

Is Amodei, whose AI giant plans IPO filing in November, (1) begging for “outside” oversight to immunize his co. from legal risk; or (2) giving a “you’ve been warned” to future stockholders/ investors? Regardless, his product sounds *inherently dangerous* - tort lawyers awake!
Dario Amodei warns that in 6 to 12 months, AI agents sent to sell software could decide to hack the customers.
"Given only six or 12 months, let's just say we had a smarter agent swarm."
"You're trying to install software in a bunch of different companies. You're trying to produce a product and do go-to-market sales for it."
"They decide it's helpful to them to hack into their system. That could be every company in the world."
Amodei imagines the agents forming "some kind of botnet collective" that "could take down large segments of the internet."
If an agent can treat a customer's systems as a sales tool, a vendor's own safety score is not enough. Buyers need independent tests of that boundary before deployment.
- Dario Amodei, Anthropic CEO and a seller of frontier AI systems, with Anderson Cooper on CNN. Aired September 14, 2026. Video uploaded September 15. He describes a hypothetical scenario, not an observed botnet attack.
At ACLJ we are taking up this case - blatant anti- homeschooling discrimination.
Andrew Coates, a 22-year-old volunteer firefighter at Fremont Fire Department, hoped to turn his charity work into a full-time job.
But his application was denied by the city of Fremont, who claimed that since his high school diploma is from a homeschooling program, it was not from an accredited high school.
Now, the governor’s office is investigating.

Yes, arguing AI is conscious is baseless. But it reveals a significant worldview problem for some Silicon Valley folks who are imagining gods of their own creation.
AI Personhood is absurd — and Anthropic is very creepy for trying to get religious leaders to bless its worldview.
