Pleased to share our latest (now published), from star student Kamal Narayana. Lowering (not increasing) peri-infarct blood flow beyond 24h period, improved #stroke recovery by lessening blood brain barrier disruption and #neuroinflammation.

New finding from the lab. This surprised us since it went against the common assumption that increasing peri-infarct blood flow is best for stroke recovery. Congrats to Kamal and the team!

Happy to share new paper from MSc grads Myrthe and Jenna. We asked the question, when part of the brain dies during stroke, what happens to local and distant cortical neurons that innervate the stroke site (in S1 cortex) or those that receive outputs?

That Trudeau would expect @cafreeland to deliver the FES after telling her ON FRIDAY he was firing her is peak chauvinistic arrogance. Wtf did he think she was going to do? LOL
Then he sat around all weekend and released a vid of him baking buns.

Excited to share our work, new in @ScienceMagazine: science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…. We explored how sex chromosomes, gonadal hormones, and their interaction shape cellular responses in aging and #Alzheimers mouse models. This led to key insights on Tlr7 and neurodegeneration 🧵(1/5)
Replying to @WestJet
@westjet screwed us on our Europe trip. Of course no one is surprised by this. Canadians have few travel options and are forced to put up with this crap. Its especially bad for small city travellers that always have to make a connection

Happy update. In response to losing a day of holiday and 1 night hotel in Paris, @WestJet offered us a $15 food voucher. They really do care!!
