Interesting how Poiltics Live and Kuenssberg yesterday both had Jewish panelists who were offended by the Green Party’s stance on Zionism. There are many Jews who oppose Zionism as implemented by an apartheid murderous Netanyahu government. BBC, give them a voice!

👏👏👏 In the face of the predictable onslaught from @bbclaurak Zack Polanski turned in a solid performance re Zionism is racism. No apology, no climbdown. Jo Coburn and Nadine Dorris left spluttering with outrage, which indicates he did something right.
Dale Vince, wearing a kaffiyeh, even managed to slip in a reference to “genocide,” without correction. We’re getting there, slowly.
As for Laura, if only we knew what her own views were ...

Three reasons to join the Green Party. One movement for real change.
3 reasons to Join the Green Party today: Real change, not more of the same. People and planet, not profit. Democracy. Ready to join?

Time to switch off Politics Lite. Vicky Young is better suited to The One Show rather than posing as a current affairs interviewer. No questioning of Israel and Trumps war on Iran as the cause of the increase in fuel costs.

The Chancellor’s Budget should tax extreme wealth, align capital gains with income tax, close inheritance-tax loopholes and make high-value property contribute fairly. Fund public services and tackle tax avoidance. He could then support with energy and food costs.

I'm the only Jewish leader of a political party.
I'm a victim of Antisemitism every day and I've made it clear Jewish people are welcome in my party.
You're a Prime Minister who arms a genocide and locks pensioners up for opposing it.
Andy Burnham rules out any partnership between Labour and the Green Party due to their controversial motion declaring "Zionism is racism".

Russia is responsible for invading Ukraine, but NATO’s was provocative. 2008 it announced Ukraine would join NATO. Putin saw this expansion. The UK and NATO are conducting proxy war with Russia with Ukrainian blood. Burnham should be pursuing peace not the war.

Brexit should never have been a 50:50 decision. I’d say the vote should have been organised eg 60:40.And not achieving this number to leave then we would have stayed in the EU. Brexit was used by Cameron to solve Tory division. Lastly, democracy is a process.

Here's something the media is hardly talking about.
This Government is set to oversee the steepest fall in living standards in modern times - unless they change course fast.
In less than two weeks Labour faces a stark choice - will they tax wealth and back the majority?

The IFS’s £35bn estimate is an annual funding pressure by 2030–31, not today’s bill. Healey’s Budget should reform wealth and capital gains taxes, tackle procurement waste and phase defence increases. Welfare cuts is a political choice, not economic inevitability.

Andrew Griffith, shadow chancellor, served in Truss’s Treasury and defended the disastrous mini-budget that sent borrowing costs soaring. The Tories bear major responsibility for Britain’s fiscal mess.

Want to fund welfare and defence? Make UK tax fairer: align capital gains tax rates with income tax, close avoidance loopholes and make extreme wealth contribute more. Protect basic living standards and national security by sharing the burden fairly.

A good explanation by Streeting as to why he can’t announce 3% increase in defence spending: the bond markets and not spooking them. Victory and the panel seem to ignore that the explanation and push the narrative Labour is backtracking. Media/pundits: stay with facts

Yanis Varoufakis on how Nazism destroyed the German people. This mirrors the effect Trump is having on the American people and how Reform would destroy the UK if they were elected.

A campaign to be proud of.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.

ALT Quote graphic featuring Green Party leader Zack Polanski, with his photograph on the right against a grey background. The headline reads: “A BY-ELECTION CAMPAIGN TO BE PROUD OF.” Below, the graphic identifies Zack Polanski as Leader of the Green Party and features the quote: “I'm incredibly proud of the campaign we did run. We got 30% of the vote, and in fact John Curtice, an independent pollster, said this shows that the Green Party are more of an electoral threat in these seats than we've ever been before.” The Green Party logo appears at the bottom left, alongside the imprint: “Promoted by Chris Williams on behalf of the Green Party of England and Wales c/o PO Box Green Party London SE1P 6YL.”

To be clear I’m not calling on Zack to step down. Today he's indicated he shares some of my concerns on the Zionism motion & I welcome that. Now the party needs to come together to make the urgent changes needed to take us forward
CAROLINE LUCAS: THE GREEN PARTY HAS URGENT WORK TO DO
Perhaps Zack Polanski was never going to win Holborn and St Pancras. It’s been a Labour stronghold for over 50 years after all, and it was always going to be a big ask. But his job was certainly not made any easier by the vote at the Green Party conference this weekend in favour of the “Zionism is racism” motion.
The backlash has been predictable and swift, with the Party condemned as itself racist and antisemitic. Those of us who spoke against the motion were clear: the policies and approach of this Israeli government are racist, its actions in Gaza amount to genocide, and a campaign of boycott, sanctions and divestment is necessary and legitimate. But supporting a motion which effectively denies Israel’s right to exist crosses a very significant red line.
