It is with regret that we announce there will be no Craft of Comedy UK event at Llandudno in 2019. We remain grateful to the support of our previous sponsors, speakers and loyal audiences, but the event is not, currently, financially viable. (1/2)

This is so sad: it was a really great event, with writers and producers and famous people and wannabes all hanging out together. It was really lovely
We are looking at ways to make it so and will make further announcements if we are successful. We believed in what we achieved. We built it – and they came. But not enough of them. (2/2)

My new answer when someone says to me after a gig “I don’t usually find female comedians funny.”
Me: What is your twitter handle? I want to send you something.
(PS this list is not definitive. Feel free to make your own list ready to give to someone)

Thank you for this wonderful and rather touching review, Mike. xitter.cf/MikeCooperRP/status/10…
Entirely unscientific enquiry:
If we flew-in a Simpsons/Futurama writer to speak - would that make you more likely to attend the even in June, next year?
No.. no.. really...

Attention comedy fans, we have returned from @CraftofComedy in Llandudno with a mountain of fantastic podcasts. Coming first is a lovely chat with the great @almurray ...
An interview with Dead Ringers' (and many other things including THAT Tracey Ullman sketch) Laurence Howarth recorded by @SitcomGeeks (ie @DaveCohencomedy and @sitcomgeek) at this year’s conference. comedy.co.uk/podcasts/sitcom…

Anyone who went to the session on social diversity in comedy @CraftofComedy can find out more about the report I quoted about social inequality in artistic careers below. xitter.cf/drdaveobrien/status/98… – at Barnet, London
So, this morning @BarbicanCentre @Create_London & @artsemergency launch a report bringing together academic work on specific aspects of inequality in cultural jobs barbican.org.uk/whats-on/eve… & createlondon.org/event/panic… The news is not good
