Here are a few more camps and homes in Pecan Island, LA. It is known in Cajun French country as La Pacaniére. First homesteaded in 1840 by Jacob Cole, a Texan looking for grazing land, but the population is largely of Cajun descendants. There are multiple indigenous Indian mounds and artifacts in the area including the Morgan Effigy, dating back from 700-1000 AD.
Well, it ain’t no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If you don’t know by now,
That’ll never do somehow.
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I’ll be gone

In 1958, Link Wray shook the foundations of music with "Rumble," an instrumental so intense that it terrified radio stations. No lyrics, no explicit messages - just a dark, distorted, gritty guitar tone that sounded like nothing else before.

Wake Up to Guitar Greatness
Robin Trower – "The Fool and Me" (Live at Winterland, '75)
Trower left Procol Harum because a keyboard band had no room for his guitar. Free of it, he became one of the great Hendrix-inspired players. From 1974's Bridge of Sighs.

"It did my heart some good to see an 81 year old Robin Trower bring the house down with a Strat and 2 Marshalls tonight.
It was loud.
It was glorious"
