Women Rear Project is an initiative aimed at empowering women livestock farmers by making veterinary services accessible to all regardless of gender.
Some of the challenges women livestock farmers include;
馃搶low literacy rate
馃搶 lack of access to resources
馃搶 extra responsibilities imposed by societal norms.
These challenges limit their access to crucial services like livestock vaccination and veterinary care, impacting their productivity and income.
Our CEO, Peter Awin, has first hand experience about how devastating it can be to lose your animals to diseases and the feeling of helplessness it can evoke. It is for this reason that Cowtribe works tirelessly to increase vaccine accesss to smallholder farmers in Africa.
