The SW Cougars are pleased to announce that Tanner Lewis will return as head coach for the 25-26 season. Lewis guided the Cougars to a 26-16-6 record this past season. This will be Tanner’s 4th season as head coach, leading the Cougars to an overall record of 72-50-14. Congrats!

Well that’s a wrap for me! 5 years and 2 boys later, it’s time to pass the torch. Thanks for reading about the Cougs and enduring my passive aggressive rage towards refs in general. Make sure you tune into the next generation of bigger and better tweets in Sept. #cougs4life

Puffs win 4-2 and sweep 3-0. Just couldn’t capitalize when it counted……Hats off to Gross, Gould, Hoemsen, Yon, Cameron, Hutchison, and Laing who all age out of the program tonight. Good luck to everyone in their hockey endeavours! You’ll always be #cougs4life

Puffs get one on the powerplay. 3-2. 18 to go. As I’m typing this, we break down and they get another. 4-2.

After 40 min we are tied 2-2. Shots 28-23 in favour of the puffs. One of the better periods of hockey from the Cougars in a while. Gotta believe!

2-0 after 20 minutes. All Brandon in the first. Cougs are going to have to get mad and find another gear somehow.

Cougs drop game 2 by a score of 5-2. Nothing to do but reset, put head down and grind for game three.

Open netter. 5-2. Feeling familiar from the other night.

3-2 Brandon after 40 min of play. Puffs took over a bit. Gonna need a Herculean effort in the last 20.
