What a special moment! The first participant was dosed with our #COVID-19 vaccine candidate BNT162. Furthermore, the first cohort of 12 study participants in our Phase 1/2 trial has been successfully completed.

Clinical trial of #COVIDー19 vaccine about to start in #mainz. MRNA based vaccines have been developed by Biontech in cooperation with Pfizer. Crossing fingers :)!! markets.businessinsider.com/…

Unfortunately a bit too optimistic. Research assume that the 14÷ of people with antibodies against #COVIDー19 are not representative for Germany as Gangelt had many confirmed cases very early. Actually a lethality of 0.37% is calculated based on the population in Gangelt.

Preliminary(!) data from a cohort study in Gangel, first town of Covid-19 outbreak in Germany, show that 14÷ had antibodies against Covid-19, 2÷had an active infection. The lethality was 0.37÷. They don't reveal how many of the participants had symptoms. drive.mobisystems.com/sharel…
My mum: not only intensive care nurse, also producing masks in her free time. She also has a cosmetic studio in our garden and will cut my hair as hairdresser are closed.. couldn't imagine any better company for the lockdown 😍

New guidelines increased the number of patients per nurse because there are not enough nurses on intensive care wards. 2,300 healthcare workers in Germany are already infected. Only having free beds doesn't mean having capacities! via @sz sz.de/1.4865774

The testing situation in Ireland is dire. We've no chance of controlling this virus until this improves. Can the resources of the state be thrown at this please? Including Ireland's universities and our many scientists who want to help #TestingForCovid19 #Testing_Testing_Testing

Researchers in Frankfurt developed a new method to increase test capacity for Covid-19 testing. They are able to pool samples and only backup samples of positive pools need to be tested separately google.com/amp/s/www.t-onlin…
