Fantastic to see our @CosmoStudy data used in today's big report from @resfoundation . There are worrying geographical inequalities in access to mental health support for today's #YoungPeople , notably specialist services like CAMHS.
NEW: those aged 40+ used to be most likely to suffer from mental ill health - but today 1-in-8 people in their late 20s/early 30s do. The economic consequences are large, changing the pattern of who is out of the labour market due to ill health resolutionfoundation.org/pub…

Four in 10 pupils in Year 13 in the most deprived areas of England are struggling to get the mental health support they need, according to the latest findings of the @CosmoStudy led by Dr @jakeanders @CEPEO_UCL @CLScohorts @IOE_London with @suttontrust ucl.ac.uk/news/2023/nov/four…

ALT Quote from Dr Jake Anders, Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the UCL Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities (CEPEO), and COSMO’s Principal Investigator, who says: "If more young people living in worse-off areas are not receiving the support that they need, this will widen existing gaps in life chances.”
